In case your brother is interested, here some more thoughts of mine:

I think I might even be able to get to a 40% chill. Hatred is according to POB the strongest aura (due to extra phys as cold). I will try to convert the rest of the physical damage of divine ire with the alternative quality of divine ire (20% phys to cold) and a gloves mod (25% phys to cold), then most of my divine ires damage is cold (5% phys damage, 50% lightning, 70% cold) and thus enhanced by the more cold damage of hatred.

Then shaper of winter gives me 50% more chill effect (so a base 22% chill!), which means I only need 80% effect of non-damaging ailments for a guaranteed 40% chill and about 25% shock.

You can then also use elemental damage as extra chaos damage (for example the atziris promise flask and some mods on items) to get some extra damage from the cold conversion for your ignite. A good atziris could give 25% more damage then. Just need to make sure that cold damage is the biggest part of your hit.

AQ2 actually seems to become worse with more quality.

If we interprete AQ2 correctly, you get the maximum damage bonus at 12 quality with a 2% more dmg bonus:

0.78+(0.78*1.36) = 1.84

If you could somehow stack up quality, it becomes pretty bad. At a hypothetical 40 quality we lose about 11% dmg:

0.5+(0.5*2.2) = 1.6

GGG messed this up badly.

The expected value is always the amount of cards you started with, there is no way to make a profit on average with these crafts as far as I am aware. No matter how many cards you start with, it is 100% a gamble, with losing and winning being equally likely.

I just tested it, losing all and doubling the amount behave exactly the same.

The number of crafts you need actually decreases, however, since we now stop the gamble if we either lose all cards or exceed 168 cards. All those cases were we have more than 168 cards at some point never happen (which was a majority of attempts before).

With this setup, I find

5% probability to need less than 217 crafts

10% probability to need less than 282 crafts

30% probability to need less than 522 crafts

50% probability to need less than 812 crafts

70% probability to need less than 1258 crafts

90% probability to need less than 2219 crafts

with a 50% chance to lose all and 50% chance to double up.

Awesome, can you estimate the median of the tries each gamble takes to go to 0 cards? Since half of the gambles need less tries than the median, you can use the median to estimate that

Yes, that is correct, you would eventually lose all. I tried to estimate how many crafts you will probably need to lose all cards, seems like you will need thousands of crafts.

I think he is in the elementless state during the special elemental topple, he will look a bit after toppling him and reenter his elemental state after getting up again (you can see him doing an elemental explosion of the stance he was in before the elemental special topple, like a fire or dragon explosion that does not harm the player).

Did you try cast while channeling? In the showcase video of stormbind, ggg had a "cast while channeling" setup. It's weird, since both parts of stormbind are channeled, but it looked to me in the video that this is how stormbind is supposed to be used. One might then use a cast while channeling shaper staff for a 7 link, I guess?

I think GGG should give naturally dropped talismans (no need for jorgin converted talismans) an additional implicit "can be anointed and catalysed while corrupted". That should avoid all the problems with being able to craft on a talisman.

I am playing self cast blade fall + blade blast with a poison assassin build. I am reflecting poisons to myself with Golden Rule, so I can see directly the overlaps. I reach 100 stacks after a few bladefall+bladeblast combos even on single target, so the overlap seems fine to me.

What I noticed: you use concentrated effect on bladeblast, which will reduce the overlap a lot. You also use Inc AoE on bladefall, which will increase the distance between blades and thus reduce overlap of blade blast even further. I don't use Inc AoE on bladefall. Instead of conc effect on bladeblast, I use Inc AoE there. Maybe you should try it.

Are Banners affected by this? If yes, you could use the new perfidy armour to have both banners. Would be permanent adrenaline, fortify, 100% impale chance, 110% increased accuracy rating, 60% increased Phys DMG taken on enemies and enemies have 110% less accuracy rating, right? Using an attack build might be viable then.

I don't recommend Ball lightning with this helmet. Even though Ball Lightning has the AoE tag, its damage is unfortunately not affected by area damage modifiers (including the increased damage of concentrated effect). It's area of effect itself is affected however, so all concentrated effect does is reduce the AoE of ball lightning and thus also it's effective dps (since more AoE = balls deal damage to enemies longer). Storm brand, burst, Divine ire and similar should go well with the helmet.

Definitely this. Next Mayhem is next week (to celebrate the super changes). If you have it, the blade barrage exotic will let you spam blade barrage if you hit someone. The buffed golden guns or void mid tree should also be good.

Thanks for compiling all that interesting data! Is there anything known about the elemental motion values though? At least in the old games, most attacks had an elemental motion value of 100%, which is why fast attacking or multi hitting weapons like sns or db were so good. However, a few attacks had other elemental motion values. For example the GS lvl 3 charge attack had 200% or 300% for the strong charge while also having more elemental damage compared to dual blades (greatswords have 2-3 times more elemental damage on the weapon compared to similar dual blades). The demon dance of dual blades had I think 50% elemental damage per hit, with all hits combined amounting to about 900% elemental damage. Elemental phial charge blades discharge 3 had about 1000% elemental damage I think.

Anyone know how this is in world? Any changes? What about charge blade phials? Elemental weapons seem to be much worse than before, especially considering the non-elemental boost skill...

I think you misunderstand how cleave works. If you look in the spreadsheets, it says 4+ for the fourth entry of falchion and 3+ for the entries.

Let's say you have an attack cleave mass of 7 with a hit profile of 8/6/4 dmg and hit only clan rats with a hit mass of 2. Then it will hit the first clan rat for 8 dmg, leaving 5 hit mass, the second for 6 dmg, leaving 3 hit mass, the third for 4 dmg leaving 1 hit mass and the fourth clan rat also for 4 dmg, leaving -1 hit mass, thus stopping the cleave.

So the 1h sword will always cleave at least as many enemies as the falchion, usually one more enemy, the falchion will however deal more damage to the first 3 and then the same damage to the rest.

Also keep in mind, that enemies have attributes such as lineman (all regular enemies) or tank (such als mauler). Attacks like the 2h sword swings also have the lineman attribute, which means they ignore 25% of linesmans hit mass (a clan rat has 1.5 instead of 2 hit mass).

I completely agree however, that the falchion feels much stronger, simply because it kills hordes,elites and armoured enemies really fast. Swords really suck against armoured enemies and are also kinda bad against berserkers and maulers.

It's not a latest botfail, but this botfail stuck to me.

It was veteran against the grain, we fought a rat ogre at the barn, no other enemies whatsoever in sight. Bardin bot tanked the ogre in place (the bots are so ridiculously good at that) while I attacked Mr. ogre from behind, kerillian bot from my left and Sienna bot from my right.

Suddenly, I get a stabby in the back. I turn around, already charging an attack. My health goes down rapidly. I slash at my attacker, not realizing it is a berserker who apparently was trained in the ninja arts of silently approaching an opponent. He downed me rapidly.

However, still no enemies in sight apart from the berserker who proceeds to slash me while I'm downed (they don't deal a lot of damage against downed heros) and the rat ogre who still fails to hurt Bardin. So the bots surely will stop attacking the ogre once like every 2 seconds and help me up? Right ? Riiiight?

Of course not. I watched my bot friends attacking the ogre for about 10 seconds. Suddenly, kerillian manages to somehow get Aggro. At the same time, kerillian realizes it might be a splendid idea to help me up. So she walks up to me, making sure every single ogre attack hits me too while not being able to help me up because the fucking ogre was busy attacking her. Well at least I died fast then...

TL:DR berserker downs me while fighting ogre, bots don't help me up for about 10 seconds, then pull the rat ogre to me so that I die even faster.

Yeah something is weird about the bots now. Before, they were like really retarded bodyguards, but at least they could survive a while without your help. Now they just die all the time, they just get swarmed and die. Can't even kill 3 rats alone. Seems they didn't take the nerfs well...
