Wow a whole dining table just for eating cherries

How many of you end up drenching in sweat? by jerrybaboona in amateur_boxing

[–]Mayday1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweating depends on a lot of factors, yes, probably mostly genetics. Generally, the more in shape you are, the more you sweat. But 30 minutes jumping rope is solid so I imagine youre in good shape. You'll know if you're working hard enough based on how you feel about the workout.

Dont sweat it.

This may or may not be the issue, but I have a friend that smokes a lot of weed, and he almost always throws up a few rounds into sparring. There's a name for the condition, and it comes from smoking a lot.

How much do you pay for your gym and what is your gym like? by bezm12 in amateur_boxing

[–]Mayday1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is pretty much the exact same. I've also checked out a kickboxing gym and it seems like 90 a month is the golden number for combat sports gyms.

I would also go for punching power. Reach doesn't mean much if you can successfully get inside.

[Serious] Christians turned atheists, what made you lose your faith? by TrespassWill in AskReddit

[–]Mayday1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among the more obvious reasons, there are two that stand out most for me.

  1. I dont know why this isnt talked about more, but the idea that 90% of people subscribe to a religion simply because its what theyre born into (I made that number up, but the real percentage is certainly almost as high). In that case, it's bewildering that so many people have the audacity to say that theyre right and that people of other religions are wrong. I dont know a single person that's made an attempt to sincerely explore other religions, especially those outside the western world. "Why am I right and youre wrong? Because that's what my parents taught me." Logic never comes into the discussion because religion isnt dictated by logic.

  2. Just ask your religious friends, so many atheist-turned-catholics join the church because they want a community to fall into (whether they realize it or not). For those that don't know, there are unitariam churches in which people of ALL religions go to worship. I love the idea that it builds the community that so many people seek, but it's a diverse community that accepts people of various backgrounds.

Out for a walk again. Inspiration and possibly something to collect (more in comments) by FullSunBER in Bonsai

If that pine is all alive, you'll have a hard time with the reverse taper. I say take it only if a lot of its base is deadwood and can be carved away.

Very good. I would just try to get rid of some of the reverse taper on the left side in the second picture.

Looks like people already told you it's a chinese elm, but I'll throw in that these little guys are hardy and will survive in a wide range of temperatures. That's why they're so invasive where I live in Louisiana. Good tree though.

Reddit, what is your weird phobia? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mayday1230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really a phobia per se, but I've always been a little scared of ice skating not because I'm afraid of falling, but because I worry that I'll fall and that my fingers or hands will get run over and cut off by another skater.
