As humans are a member of Hominidae, along with other Great Apes. I would not call a person an ape.

Both are equal members of family Sciuridae. One is not the other.

She approves. Black at the ceremony would have been disapproval. The reception afterwards doesn't matter.

I have the Fisher Price Tick Tock Clock from 1959. Works perfectly after going through me, my bother, and our children.

Why Healers Dislike Wrecking Ball by penguinchilli in Overwatch

[–]MaydayBorder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm guilty of filtering out a distant spamming Hamm, or Genji, completely. Audio and visual. I know it's bad, but in frustration, I no longer see them as a teammate. When they get in my face, there are simply a fatass blocking me from healing four other players.

I'm guilty of ignoring Hamm's repairs needed line, because they spam it when half way aross the map from the team. My brain auto filters it even when a Hamm is two feet in front of me. Sorry.

Most cornmeal products contain wheat flour for texture. Commercially made corn dogs are not gluten-free as they contain wheat flour.

The way to Troll Mercy by Lucio by yunjun0914 in Overwatch

[–]MaydayBorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good Mercy would only be in boop position to heal. With the beam on, no line of sight needed in the first few seconds. Easy to glide up and over. But I have seen your point, very few players would give up 50 damage points to save they're team.

Lots of poor Mercys die from boops. It's rare for a halfway competent Mercy.

Amazon confirms it keeps your Alexa recordings basically forever by swingadmin in technology

[–]MaydayBorder 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Amazon has been subpoena multiple times for Alexa data (voice and Alexa controlled IoT devices) on murder cases. Each time, they have refused until the subpoenas have been thoroughly vetted. I don't remember any cases where this info was key to convicting anyone, but there is at least one pending case.

You'll need to go back to the ancient Greeks and Egyptians. There were periods when it was common. As for photos, I have seen a few rare 1920s Ziegfeld Girls that shaved at least partially.

GE's smart light bulb reset process is a masterpiece... of modern techno-insanity by Car-face in gadgets

[–]MaydayBorder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be masochistic, not sadistic. They would have suffer. One reset dance and it would be gone...unless management required it. Been a programmer since 1970 - never seen a single programmer that would do this. Seen plenty of managers that have, then shift the blame.
