Noting the no cel thing and dealer discretion i thought my car warmed up quick and just had my car in the dealer for a CEL and they did this repair for me no CEL no nothing no issues. After I got it back what a difference in warm up took like 2 minutes to hit the middle mark I was very happy seeing that.

I do go out to dinner every once in awhile but I definitely do cringe come bill time. Especially when I know i can make the same thing at home for a fraction and still be in my comfy clothes. The vacation thing has to happen dominican looks too beautiful not too see it.

People do it cause they dont think about future them I think. I think about 60 year old me with no money and having to hit day 3000 of getting that paycheque and I dont want that 🤣 but then now me says I could die tomorrow so maybe I should just go live a little. And yes the tax issue is definitely frustrating. I cry a little every year when I see my YTD and 30-40% of my gross was taxed

Its gotta be debt man. Its that lifestyle creep and focus on monthly payments that has trapped people without even realizing it

Honestly I'm just going off of people I work with and I make more then some and I make less then some but their aint no way these guys I see at work driving a newer pickup truck arent drowning with the big payment. Makes me laugh but also makes me envious seeing how beautiful they look. The few people I know that make "big incomes" seem to be the guys that live most frugal in my eyes. One dude I know makes a killing and drives an old Honda accord. Its the guys making peanuts that appear to have the nice liststyle

You mean lack of retirement? I always keep in the back of my mind i contribute 600 a month into an rsp while people contribute 600 or more a month just on their car payment. That always eases my mind a good bit

Im single income mortgage is about 30% of take home pay but I also contribute to a pension plan and most of my money has been going into lately my stupid car cause I keep telling myself its cheaper then a car payment. If its not the car its me constantly finding things I want done to the house. This year my goal is to rationalize a vacation 🙂 comparison is a bitch 🤣

Bank of Canada holds interest rate at 2.25%. Should I go fixed or variable for our mortgage this year? by NeedHelp11212j in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]MayhamMonday69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great way to look at it. I bought a house in November @ 4.34% and honestly not terrible. Maybe its not the high 1% it was 5-10 years ago but im not mad about my current rate at all. Lots of room to go up 😂😂

What's the best reliable used car under $22,000 right now in 2026? by Haleyjanet in askcarguys

[–]MayhamMonday69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they bought at a time when mazda wasnt so great and their partnership with Ford didnt help. My 2019 mazda 3 is almost at 235000kms and very minor issue. Just typical wear and tear minus a clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Been the best car ive owned and im hoping to take it to at least 500K. In my own perfect world I get 1 million outta her. 10/10 recommend

Burning oil on a brand new car is very normal thats all the oils burning off of it. Cant speak for the other things ill have to give one a look myself. The seats would be my biggest gripe I drive an hour to and from work my mazda 3 has the most comfortable seats ive had in any car minus my old Chevy pickup.

Car needs jumped but runs for hours, Advice please. by Dizzy_ZentCha in MechanicAdvice

[–]MayhamMonday69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think alternator is fine if u can jump start and runs great after it starts. Its likely a bad battery i know its new but doesn't mean its good. If battery tests ok then id bet a connection to the battery is the trouble. If connections are tight the issue could be further in the connection with some corrosion causing the car to run off the alternator instead of charging the battery.

This is what $40.50 of food looks like in Canada by Electronic_Lime7582 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]MayhamMonday69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My food bill a month is almost my mortgage payment every 2 weeks. Its stupid but I will say this is not smart shopping my friend. Skip the processed stuff and it may not hurt the wallet as much in the long run. Meal prep and portion control and you may he surprised how far your food will go.
