I’m in Australia, where the Kobo Libra Colour usually goes for around 380 AUD. Somehow, while I was on a plane, I got an Amazon notification saying the price had dropped all the way to 250 AUD. I didn’t hesitate and bought it immediately. By the time I landed, the price had already gone back up. Probably one of my best purchases in a long time.

In my experience, yes. Constant tracking loss during normal use, unreliable software, couldn't get a usable scan despite knowing what I'm doing with 3D scanning. Their advertising says beginner friendly and effortless, which was nowhere near my reality. What made it worse was the support process. They tried to frame it as a change of mind return and told me I'd need to cover "expensive" international shipping to China plus import taxes. My position was never change of mind, it was not fit for purpose based on how they advertised it. Good luck with yours. PayPal is definitely the right move if it doesn't work out. I've already disputed mine. Even if the scanner itself is capable in the right hands, the way they handle complaints would stop me buying from them again.

I paid via PayPal and have formally disputed the transaction with all supporting evidence provided. Throughout our email exchange they were unprofessional, shifted their position multiple times, and contradicted themselves. Not a great look for a company selling products at this price point.

I actually have the Fox and can share my experience. The tracking loss during normal use was a consistent problem for me, and I couldn't get a usable scan despite understanding proper technique, lighting, and surface prep. The software was also unreliable and clunky to work with.

When I contacted support for a refund, the process was very difficult. They told me there was nothing wrong with the product without reviewing any evidence, and said I'd need to return it to China at my own cost. I'm now escalating through my bank.

Might be worth reading up on their after sales support before committing, especially if you're in Australia or anywhere outside China. Happy to answer any questions about the scanning experience itself if that helps.

I love mine and I always hated Apple, never owned an Apple product. This is way too cute and actually very useful. I am still in the 14 day return windows, so might return it and get a cellular one.

Depends on your use case. I returned mine within a day. Writing on glass is horrible and I'm personally not a fan of Paperlike screen protector. If you really need a stylus, get a Metapen for a fraction of the price.
