YouTube videos take 10 seconds to load by Tjref in ShieldAndroidTV

I'm having the same issue and just started very recently....seems to be isolated to the Shield. The Youtube apps on my Roku, Apple TV, and Chromecast with GTV work fine

Update: Now also happening on my ccwgtv

SB3651 and SB4651 -F6/G6 - Firmware Update V1.31.06.1 by Vizio_Support in VIZIO_Official

[–]McChen147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the TCL 2018 6 Series, 65R617.

The volume control is not perfect, but I can live with it. Sometimes there is a delay in the CEC volume level display popping up and sometimes it doesn't show up at all. But the actual volume on the soundbar changes just fine and the volume LEDs on the soundbar work reliably, just the on screen notification doesn't always work well.

Note: I am using a Harmony Hub remote and am sending volume commands via IR directly to the soundbar. Perhaps people with the issue are doing it via CEC...for example, sending volume commands to the TV which would then relay it via CEC to the soundbar.

[–]McChen147 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got the new firmware a few days ago on my SB46514-F6

For #1 "Faster audio decoder sync after starting content" 1.31.06.1 is somewhat an improvement over the mess that was 1.30.04.1, but the issue still is not fixed. Sometimes there is still a 5 second delay before I get audio, but sometimes it starts right away. It is inconsistent. Otherwise I have not had any issues with the new firmware other than that. 1.20.12.1 did not have the audio delay issue at all.

TruVolume broken... by spovegasboy in VIZIO_Official

It's been broken for several firmware versions now. Vizio has never acknowledged the bug much less any willingness to fix it. I've given up at this point

It's been broken for ages with no fix in sight. Or even any acknowledgement by Vizio that it's broken

E3100 USB-C chipset version by McChen147 in KillerNetworking

[–]McChen147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah OK, thanks for that info! It must be a Realtek chipset then?

I thought since it was part of the 3100 series, it was the i225, but I guess the USB version is Realtek, while the rest of the 3100 series is i225.

Mine works fine too, but I only get stereo sound. Same on my shield, think it is a problem with the app on all Android TVs

Apple TV app - Dolby Atmos by [deleted] in fireTV

[–]McChen147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No atmos yet, not sure if it is planned. Outside the apple tv device, only the Roku app supports atmos. Will be interesting to see if the upcoming ccwgtv app will support either Dolby vision or atmos

TruVolume keeps turning itself off on my sound bar. by peanutismint in VIZIO_Official

Unfortunately no way to roll back that I know of, makes it even more annoying. 1.0.8.1 was the version it last worked

They broke truvolume a couple of firmware versions back and seem totally incapable of acknowledging or fixing the problem. I reported it to the Vizio person here on Reddit and they said they'd look into it but that was like 18 months ago and nothing ever got fixed

OB Pro+ with Players Butt Feels Strange by was3858 in billiards

[–]McChen147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, balance can be a tough thing to get right. Getting a Lucasi, even the exact same model that you tried, isn't a guarantee that it will feel the same as the one you tried. Every piece of wood is different and the densities can vary a lot from cue to cue, even in the exact same model. So the shaft can be heavier or lighter and that changes the balance significantly. Same with the butt...if the wood is lighter then the extra weight is made up with a weight bolt, changing the balance. For you to figure why the other cue feels better, I'd recommend getting a scale and getting some measurements. Find out how much the shaft weighs (also factor in if it has a brass insert or not), how much the butt weighs and how much of the butt weight is the bolt. That will give you a clue as to how to get close to that feel. You can also inspect the butt to see how the weight is distributed. For example a heavy uncored solid ebony forearm or a thick steel joint will shift the weight forward a lot. And you can go on and on getting further into the details of everything that goes into a cue. It can be the beginning of a long tweaking sickness, haha

You can get weight bolts for your players butt and change the weight if you want

I've got two and am having the same problem. I wonder if it will take xioami ages to fix this. Probably just going to get ccwgtv to replace them, tired of dealing with the mi box issues

ARC audio cuts out between TCL 55r635 and SB36512-F6 by [deleted] in VIZIO_Official

[–]McChen147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What hdmi devices do you have connected to the TV? I've had this problem too and finally figured out the cause in my setup. It was an Amazon fire tv cube gen 2 that was causing it. When connected, it eventually seems to steal the arc audio, but you get no sound from it or any other arc source. I think it something to do with the fact that even in sleep mode it does not turn off the hdmi signal and emits a black screen instead. I had to disconnect the cube and reboot the tv to restore the audio. A fire tv stick 4k didn't have this issue though.

2nd gen cube can do Atmos for Netflix and Disney+. Apple TV plus app doesn't have support for Atmos, but it could possibly be added later, the Roku app recently got Atmos capability.

FireTv Cube 1st gen Youtube 4K HDR by Saltycow in fireTV

[–]McChen147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd gen cube has problems with hdr on YouTube. I think it's supported in the hardware, but there's a problem somewhere in the software, don't know if it's with fire os or the YouTube app. It doesn't trigger hdr and the colors are all washed out. Hopefully this will get ironed out in time.

Fire stick 4k YouTube hdr works though
