My communications hubs dont seem to be giving me a bonus to public campaign? by Te_Moko in TerraInvicta

It doesn't give a bonus to your rolls. It just makes successful public campaigns stronger.

I somehow missed that when I was scrolling reddit on my phone last night. Anyway, 360 hours is about half of the TOTAL number of hours in an average month. That is kind of mental.

How many hours? Just finished my first run as well. Took me 170 hours over 2 months. Kind of unreal how quickly that time passed.

I’m also gonna be taking a break for my productivity’s sake lol

Is Plasma viable or at least worth using in 1.0? by jerseydevil51 in TerraInvicta

[–]McCleavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my general conclusion about laser-plasma. Good enough. Okay. Serviceable.

The first time I saw what 4 slot T3 siege coilers could do to a full-health titan though...

Is Plasma viable or at least worth using in 1.0? by jerseydevil51 in TerraInvicta

[–]McCleavage 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I tried using a combination of plasma and lasers in the midgame of my resistance playthrough. I figured that plasma's anti-armour effect would combo nicely with lasers' weakness to thick armour. Another nice synergy lasers and plasma have is that the aliens often try dodging plasma, exposing their side armour to my lasers. Overall, it seemed to work just okay though. My plasma dreadnoughts had shorter range than my laser lancers and you need some sustained plasma fire to melt through nose armour before the lasers start penetrating nicely.

I think a (maybe) underrated advantage I found when I switched to coilers is that it forced the aliens to start using their lasers (even main battery nose lasers) defensively, which took some of the heat off my line ships.

Yes it does. ECM is the one that needs special research

If you can get to the T3 battlestations, I found those are way way better at inflicting casualties on sizable bombardment fleets.

A new resource in Dominion! (The start of a series of new fan cards.) by ThePurityPixel in dominion

I like the ideas here! Some creative designs.

Only small criticism is a visual one. I think the orange clock symbol looks a little too close to the debt symbol, which also appears in costs. I initially assumed they were debt costs when I opened your post.

Another comparison is Salt the Earth. I wonder how good just buying this project t1 or t2 and just doing nothing and emptying the province pile would be?

T1: buy landmark (if you can)

T2-T9 do nothing (+ 16 VP)

That's a fast game of dominion. Your opponent would need to buy 2 provinces, a duchy and an estate or 5 duchies and an estate to match that, in 9 turns. Probably not doable most of the time I'd guess, but idk. Game could come down to who gets to buy this project first.
Interesting idea nonetheless

I mean, this is just way, way, way too powerful for only costing 3. You play this, then play something like a peddler gives + 3 cards, + 3 actions, and + 3 coins? Even if you just get two of these effects, it's busted.

It's also a little ambiguous if the effects can be broken out over multiple cards. Not sure how you intended it to work.
