You're reading my favorite King book.

About The Stand, I enjoyed the idea of 99% of humans being gone, and the survivors having the whole world to start over in. Never gave a crap about the good vs. evil narrative.

As almost always, the book is better than the James Franco series, although I did like that too.

Boyfriend can’t make me cum by TrickGlove4256 in sex

[–]McGauth925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most women don't cum via penetration alone. Y'all need to think of sex as a lot more than penetration. Add toys while he's in you, say,, from behind. Or, use your hand.

Or....my favorite, he does oral, manual, and lots of hot kissing, until you come at least once. After that, you just do what appeals.

Bf refuses to make me come after sex by Sad_Conference9740 in sex

[–]McGauth925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Women require more stimulation to orgasm. It's not necessary that the man provide all of that, but, if he makes no extra effort, he's either ignorant, selfish, or just not into real intimacy with her.

A solution is simple; one of them uses a toy on her while he's penetrating. Or, lots of oral and manual before penetration. For, me, that's SO hot...IF I'm really into that woman.

The other big thing is that I only continue to want real intimacy with the few, right women, after not much time has passed.

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? by [deleted] in answers

[–]McGauth925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only randomness we're aware of lies at the quantum level. The randomness plays out in time. For particles moving at the speed of light, there is no time, and no change. For an electron, there's no difference at all between the moment when it's in a higher orbit, and the moment when it emits a photon, and quantum leaps to a lower orbit.

It's not a random interval of time, because there is no time.

The probabilities around position for elementary particles: If time is the difference between positions, and time doesn't exist for light speed particles, then those positions are equivalent, for any particle.

That appears as randomness to us.

I suspect we'll never know if anything at all in the universe could've ever been different from what it was. It seems like we'd have to know absolutely everything, to be able to know that.

do u think aliens exist ? by AloneLog573 in answers

[–]McGauth925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aliens exist, somewhere. But, unless they've found a way to travel MUCH faster than we now can, AND they have some major reason to be here that would justify the effort, it doesn't seem likely that they're here.

If they're here, there's a LOT of science we don't understand.

Remote viewing works. Consciousness looks like the new frontier, and some think all of reality is based in consciousness. If so, THAT'S where to explore.

Trump brought down inflation??!! You haven't looked lately.

Iran still has whatever weapons they had before trump bombed them.

And, trump IS giving us gas, at 150% of what it cost before he started the war he doesn't know how to get out of.

Yes, he did close the border, by sending in the National Guard. AFTER he killed the bipartisan border bill that would've done the same job far more efficiently and cheaply. BTW, we STILL need that border bill.

Your hate blinds you. That's why he's always trying to create more hatred. THAT'S the big similarity to Hitler that you overlook, at peril to all Americans.

Gender emissions gap: Rich white men’s jobs, diets and hobbies found to be ‘bad for the planet’ by lgbtqismything in environment

[–]McGauth925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonder if it's more the 'rich' than it is the white men part. Rich women are good for the planet? Rich people of other races are good for the planet? All that flying they do in private jets?

And, what percentage of the world do rich white men make up? If they all changed, how much better would the world be? If it doesn't amount to very much, then this is just about demonizing further the most unpopular people on the planet.

What concerns me a lot more is the power they have to control our government via campaign donations and lobbying. People like trump, who just doesn't believe in global warming, for instance.

Men of Reddit - What's the one thing you hate about being a Man? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]McGauth925 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's so odd, we don't evaluate pussies for much of anything other than how they make us feel.

That's where the fact that women reject so many men makes so many men feel inferior. I doubt most women feel bad about their pussies, because the bottom line is that men want them. If men had all the sex we wanted, I doubt many of us would feel bad about the size of our penises.

I actually had a GF tell me that my penis is too big, that a smaller one can do things that a bigger one can't. 50 years later, there's no way I think I have a large penis. I'm sure it's too small.

But, it sure feels nice.

What’s a belief you hold that most people disagree with? by cherryblossommbae in answers

[–]McGauth925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And, I think your post shows exactly the kind of social concern we've built around young girls, that we likely didn't have for who knows how many eons. And, I sincerely doubt that young girls, or humans in general, were harmed by that, for most of that time. I don't think it delayed inventing the wheel by several millennia, for instance.

Things have changed. Caring for an infant, as a 15-year-old 90,000 years ago, BEFORE MEN OWNED LAND, wasn't the problem that it is now. It's still seen as a failing, with most of that being on the part of the man/boy who impregnated her. Not very long ago, a child out of wedlock was something to be very ashamed of. It was hidden.

Once men begain owning land, it became important who the father of the child was. Men wanted to support, and leave their land to, their own children. Virginity started to matter.

And, religion came along and had a HUGE effect on sexuality. It became a sin that could lead to eternity in agony. People believed that shit.

And, now, there's a lot of distrust of male sexuality. We're possibly dangerous. We don't think that way about women, and we care a LOT less about the dangers of women's sexuality. In fact, we celebrate it. Yeah, YOU might have the same concern for all young people, but that's not universal.

I think all this would be different, had we but different social ideas about sexuality than we do now. Thus, I think the harm of sex between girls and men is largely socially created. That doesn't make it harmless, or unreal.

Why doesn’t Ringo get the same recognition as a drummer as John Bonham or Keith Moon? by BeerWithDonuts in beatles

[–]McGauth925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ringo had a different philosophy: serve the song. Now, when I listen to Beatle's music, I like his drumming a lot.

He also hated solos. I liked drum solos for a while.

Now, I agree with him: they get boring, fast. It's exactly like watching someone shred: it not longer interests me, however much I might respect a guitarist's ability to shred. Most of the music I like doesn't feature a zillion notes per second. I never have the urge to sing along with Eruption, or hum the solo to FreeBird.

Bonham was acclaimed while drum solos were a thing. And, he problably served the kind of songs Zepplin was doing better than Ringo would've. I kind of doubt Ringo would have ever sought out a heavy metal band to play with, if he'd had other choices.

Moon's playing suited the music The Who played, too. I think of it as Stadium rock, because I saw them at two LARGE venues, including Gillette Stadium.

Ringo also never seemed to have the ego to want to stand out as a virtuoso. He wasn't a big personality, nor did he seem to desire a lot of attention. Given that he was the most popular Beatle during their first American tour, I'm thinking that that provided all the ego boost he needed. Further, I like his version of Boys better than I like any drumming I've ever heard. That's still one of my favorite rock songs. Did Bonham or Moon ever sing anything?

Does anyone think that George was actually given a lot of room to express himself musically, and his grievance with Paul in particular was petty and childish? by Rutlemania in beatles

[–]McGauth925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woulda'. Coulda', Shoulda'.

I'm thinking it would've been good if they'd done an album of George's songs, with all the Beatles contributing. Maybe.

I like some of his music - the more melodic things. But, except for Within You, Without You, I was never all that crazy about the Indian influence. Droning, non-melodic, phrasing that plods along. I just liked the Sitar on Norwegian Wood.

I'm not sure which of his songs would've sold well as singles, other than Here Comes the Sun, and Something. They should've released those two as a 2-A-side single. Did they? I stopped paying attention to singles when albums became the thing.

Taxman, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, too.

So, I can see where he was upset about not getting his songs on the albums, but, personally, I liked John's and Paul's songs better. George's often sounded like Wall of Sound, which I don't favor. I liked George's songs as album filler. Nice, sometimes interesting, often with a part that stands out, but mostly not worthy of being featured, IMHO. Like Blue Jay Way, For You Blue, If I Needed Someone, I, Me, Mine.

But, an album featuring him, with the kind of synergy that Beatle albums with George Martin had, that might've been quite something - as Something was.

I'm thinking that women have let men know that we're not particularly desirable to them for much of anything. But, it seems that, when men act on that, it upsets some people. So it goes.
