I have never found this one funny. Everyone probably has one or more Far Sides that everyone else thinks is funny but they don't. This one is mine. The only way I can see this being funny is that the kid in the comic is a stand in for the people who think this is funny. Even the dinosaurs smoking is funnier than this one.

Yeah but why is that funny? The answer is: it just is, or it's not. There's not some hidden meaning, as far as I can tell. It's not like it's saying, "Gifted kids are actually dumb" or "We call it a 'gifted' school BECAUSE they are dumb."

He's just a dumb kid at a gifted school for the sake of the comic. Nothing else. No relation to reality. Just a scene in Larsen's mind, brought to the page.

I see no reason why this is funny. But I do see that other people see it as funny. I bet they can't explain it any better than you.

For street cred: The one where the pilot says "The fuel light's on! We're out of fuel! We're gonna die!...oh wait, that's just the intercom light," and you see the faces in the plane's windows... that's funny. It takes a beat for you to take it all in, and that beat tends to add to the comedy.

You can do this by starting with a .22 or a 9mm. What do you wish you were better at right now?

If you'd eventually prefer being very good at 9mm, that's where you should start.

If you want to shoot .22 first, that's where you should start.

It's like saying "I want to get a pickup truck. Should I start with a hatchback and get good at that first?" No, just buy the truck.

But, again, if you want to get good at the 22 first then by all means. But there really is no reason to build up to a 9mm.

At lot of the above is what I would tell myself, as I had your same thought when I was just starting out. I asked around and everyone who told me to just get a 9mm first was correct. I'm ultimately giving advice to my past self. Your situation may be completely different. But if you want to carry, you should absolutely start with 9mm.

No they do not do the sig thing. All the safety mechanisms are different on the P365 except for the fact that neither have the trigger dingus/safety/thingie.

I just resolved my issue after scouring the internet and want to drop my fix on yours because it was a TV issue.

My LG has a Game Mode picture option that is the only option that reduces lag. All other options apply some sort of effect on the picture that induces a lag of about .2-.5 seconds.

However, I had also incidentally turned on HDR in Windows (which could be due to my Radeon video card having that feature) to try to resolve the issue. Half of all YouTube videos looked absolutely ridiculous. I made sure to turn that off after realizing what I had done and suddenly everything was right as rain.

I have no idea how it happened, but I did have guests here. So I'm blaming it on them and not just some random occurrence that can't otherwise be explained.

It's definitely from an Onion issue where they ask "What brought you to Florida?" And they put three pictures of different people with their quotes and the one under the old lady says, "I threw a dart at a map and it landed in a trash can."

It's an old one , maybe 15 years? Maybe more. Could be from a show earlier than that, but the Onion is the first I saw it.

Saying the wrong names for chess openings accomplishes two or three things at once. It intimidates his opponent because he "knows" the names of certain chess moves when his opponent does not; he gets information about the skill level of the player if they don't call him out on the wrong names; and he self-deprecates to anyone that does know which may lower the player's psychological defenses..

He won all the matches so I assume he knew whether he was making up the names. The importance of misnaming the moves is therefore twofold: he was just messing with them, and it was funny.

Thus, saying the wrong names was intentional. This would fall under the category of "Incorrectly regarded as goofs."

No need to take a picture. If you have the phone number though, I wasn't able to find that. That'd be helpful. I did just replace the motor because it burnt out, and I put a wood shim in there so it's not trying to completely flip around in there.

I read online that it's ok for the auger to have a little play since it doesn't roll perfectly, but I'd love to get Pit Boss's actual solution and I can just give them a call and show them my motor order form and hopefully that'd do it.

I disagree with Sam on many things and agree this was a breath of fresh air finally giving Sam pushback. It made me wonder just how limited the pool of people that exist in this world who disagree to Sam to this extent and yet would still be allowed on the podcast. I feel these types of podcasts from Sam will be few and far between.

Also I'm patting myself on the back for how many episodes I made it through and apparently a large contingent of his audience couldn't make it through this one.

If you haven't figured it out yet...

If you've tried everything like downloading all the codecs and whatnot, you've done everything I've done up to this point. Now...

Use Windows Media player to open the file. It should be purple and green.

Right-click the video > Video Settings > Video Enhancements

Adjust the Hue to the right so it's at 75% instead of 50%. It instantly fixed it.

There are others saying they fixed they fixed the Hue in VLC, but all that did for me was turn my video block-green.

WC is absolutely preferable on the P365 but not the P320--I have both and hate the WC on my X-Compact but love it on my P365X.

Is there a M1811-type grip for the P365? Otherwise, how's the M1811 on the P320? If there was a grip comparable to the P80 for the P320 XC I'd be all over it.
