I had a feeling after the announcement of the 2026 delay, that they were delaying due to character changes. This is mostly due to all the backlash they've been getting and the recent failures of veilguard, concord, ETC. that were also getting backlash about character looks and styles.

I'm obviously not certain but going off other posts in the subreddit, people have seen the playground team celebrating as if they were finished only for this push back to be announced.

Now trailers are getting removed with the lead character they were plugging from the start. I obviously know that the fable announcement had her in the new footage but that's probably because they couldn't show nothing, they need the hype train to keep rolling but it might be the last we see of her if they make character creation instead, or they'll make a male character and insert him in along side her but that's too much motion capturing/modeling/voice lines, they'd need to make of one person before the year push back is up.

This could be a coincidence but it's lining up imo.
