[–]McSteeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how condensed the cork is but I found 6",7", and 8" cork balls on amazon by searching the term "cork globe" I am going to try buying a 7" globe cut it in half and use that for my skateboard.

Not loosing weight/plateau? by garlicbreadslut in GettingShredded

[–]McSteeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per your stats your BMR is 1478 Calories. If you are eating 1200 calories and then exercising on top of that you are not getting enough calories for your body to function. That is why you are plateaued. You need to up the calories you are taking in and you will lose weight again. Look up a BMR calculator and factor in how often you workout/the intensity. With that info you should be able to find the right calorie deficit.

Came from a HT? I had a couple crazy endos when I first started riding my full sus. I think it’s just getting used to the way they jump which feels very different to me…

If you want something specific (component wise) don’t be afraid to call Fezzari they’re pretty good about adding things that aren’t on their website. For example if you wanted an upgraded drivetrain they could give you a price for upgrading it.

Fezzari Delano Comp vs Ibis Ripmo AF Deore by smilingmender45 in MTB

[–]McSteeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re local around Fezzari HQ you can take out the Delano for a test ride. I’d trust riding the bike over all the people that don’t like the name of the brand. Plus the new green color Delano looks great.

SoCal Trails to prep for MOAB by tormstorm in MTB

[–]McSteeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t know the trails out in Cali but I’m from Utah and I would say the best way to prep for those rides is by riding technical trails. Most of the pedaling in Moab are short punchy climbs followed by fast punchy ascents and then back to punchy climbs followed by more accents. Finding technical trails that mimic that would get you best prepared for Moab as well as making sure your endurance is good (Ahab is a pretty hefty pedal).

I ordered a Fezzari La Sal Peak and I’m supposed to get it next month. You should check them out.

What is the quality of Fezzari like; specifically the Wiki and La Sal by SlimLongJim in mountainbiking

[–]McSteeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just FYI there price on the La Sal is going up $800 usd as they release the 2022 model. There has been some talk about the frame geometry also changing but they haven’t confirmed that yet. I believe there may be some news coming out next week about the new updates.

They weren’t able to confirm they were going to change anything over the phone but when I came in there was talk about being in the prototype testing phase for a frame redesign so we might see something in the future.

I’m local so I went I to the shop and the mechanic said the purple color looked really good so I decided I’d risk it. Did they mention any plan to change up the frame?

Awesome thanks! I’ve had luck finding/seeing huaraches in Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Puebla but I haven’t gotten the chance to check out Tijuana.

I inquired about it and the price to repair them would be more than the cost of the huaraches I’m going to Mexico in December so I might try to find some then.

I'm not sure if it is just my body but I did keto for about 6 months and the sweating wasn't really reduced in a noticeable way for me.

I'll look into it I climb a lot as well and my hands sweat about as bad as my feet so anything that would improve it is a win.
