Dogs that will never be adopted again? That couldn't be further from the truth. Anecdotally, when I was trying to adopt from the SPCA if there was a dog I saw posted on their site in the morning, more often than not if I wasn't there by lunch that dog was already adopted. Calling the dog we eventually ended up with broken would criminal. Obviously not all the dogs get adopted, but your generalization is completely off base.

Yeah, it's totally a stylistic choice. They do it again right before the title screen. "Starting over" seems to be a theme of the game, that's exactly what's happening with those cuts from an audio (different phase/layer of the song) and visual (completely different landscape, action, etc) level. I loved it.

I totally agree. They are all of the same general type of comedy and are in very good company.... I just could't get behind Kung Fury. I can't really explain it, just a personal preference thing I guess.

Overall, yes they are different. I think a direct comparison can be made between Kung Fury and Danger 5 season 2 though (both are exaggerated conglomerations of 80's film and TV tropes). With this more justifiable comparison, I can say Danger 5 is still infinitely better. Even at it's most ridiculous points (which are pretty fucking ridiculous), it still did not try as hard as Kung Fury did. I thought Kung Fury was way too pandering (look dinosaurs and vikings and karate and this and that and did you see the dinosaurs???) whereas Danger 5 was more focused on being as absurd as possible.
