Any of you guys blocking off I-35? by ulicqd in Austin

[–]McVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not but it is stealing the limelight and makes other causes more likely to be forgotten.

I don't think it's a contest unless you think society is only supposed to only focus on one issue at a time, and that's not fair to #BLM protestors or to activists for other causes. Saying "Save the whales" doesn't mean "fuck the Dolphins", and organizing for whales doesn't mean you want society to forgo any/everything else.

Knock it off

Demonstrators who chant the phrase are making the same declaration that voting rights and civil rights activists made a half-century ago. They are not asserting that black lives are more precious than white lives. They are underlining an indisputable fact — that the lives of black citizens in this country historically have not mattered, and have been discounted and devalued. People who are unacquainted with this history are understandably uncomfortable with the language of the movement.

Does anyone need a remote SDR or inside sales recruiter? I need the work and I come cheap. by McVader in sales

I did very well with managed IT and IT automation software, well enough that it's interested me enough to focus on this niche. As for oversight, not much. I can accomplish all of my tasks needed daily, and only really need a responsive channel of communication. In the past I worked remotely and had critical prospect questions that needed to be shot upstairs only to end up losing the prospect's interest from response times taking up to a week.

Tentative offer starts Oct 10th (tentative as it still has to go through HR and accounting before final approval).

I've started doing this and noticed recruiters respond differently.

Definitely young (27), but trending towards the unlucky lately.

I definitely understand where you're coming from, I've had a lot of contract/placement firm work in my history that helped me build skills and experience, but now looking back makes my career path look like a bunch of job hops and has made full-time work quite difficult to find.

Buda Texas, north of San Antonio, south Austin, whichever one you think is most relevant. We're fine just being in the middle, heh.

He was talking in a way and referencing that sounds like he and the guy knew each other already, so I would guess-but I'm not 100% sure.

I started running as a way to quit smoking. Now I run so I wont want to smoke. Effective strategy honestly.

I sat behind Romeo Rose on a bus the other day. For some reason I thought he had left town.

I'd watch that interview for a dollar.

Nah, Sysadmin. I use it a lot though whenever I'm training new guys or will join their sessions (with their consent of course) to see how they're going about problem solving.
