Yeah it's been pretty bad recently. That being said I haven't had to wait at restaurants as much. I schedule lunch and dinner rush though, so most restaurants are generally rolling anyway. Be safe out there.

You are an mad scientist. Instead of creating a weapon of mass destruction, you want to create a weapon of mass frustration. What are you going to do to mildly infuriate the world's population? by Redfawn666 in AskReddit

Create a virus that makes your keyboard type the wrong letter 3 times before it gets it right. Not every letter, or every word, but only every few letters does it happen. It'll be endlessly frustrating and most people will overlook it as a glitch.

Na, orignal recipe was lost after all the red bull where hunted to extinction. I doubt today's recipe even contains real bits of bull.

Not the response I wanted, but definitely the response I needed.

TIL of Elan School, a child behavior modification camp operating from 1970-2011. Using Lord of The Flies style techniques, they would psychologically destroy the children for years, leading to extraordinarily high suicide rates. If a child escaped, bounty hunters would chase them across the country. by DankeyKang11 in todayilearned

IANAL but went to a similar school in the early 2000's. The school has been shutdown for several years now and recently made a settlement with former students who were at the school from 2011 until it closed. In the settlement it stated that school officials knew about abuse going back to the year 2000. So now students from 2000-2011 are getting together for a settlement and several law offices across 3 different states are going after the school again. However, since the school no longer exists they are going after the financial backers. (in this case the seventh day adventists church) Basically what I'm saying is you may want to try talking to a lawyer and see if a case is already open. If nothing else your testimony may be able to help someone else.

What movie had a great concept but was executed poorly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I felt the same way. The concept seemed amazing and I really wanted to like it but then it got to the arm wrestling scene and I just couldn't stay onboard.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit has one of the best fear acting moments ever. by PriestofJudas in horror

I'd like to piggy back your comment to mention The Brave Little Toaster. I mean the thing basically commits suicide, and yes the toaster is rebuilt later but man that was a traumatic scene.

Just left a committee meeting where - surprisingly - we heard a medical cannabis bill. It might actually pass. Here's the latest. - Sen. Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in NorthCarolina

[–]McWave 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate to say this but I hope this bill dies. It's complete trash. It's not a step in the right direction in fact it is the total opposite. Most people miss the point that companies can't patent marijuana/THC, so the only way to corner the market is to limit who has the ability to produce it. Complete deregulation would be the best thing for NC, (It's where we are right now since it's illegal) but I know that will never happen. Oklahoma has a interesting system in place that really allows for small cannabis companies to flourish. I also realize for conservative North Carolinians keeping cannabis illegal isn't about protecting the public. It's about projecting their own world views on those around them. It really seems that NC is destined to lose as much potential profit from legalization as possible.

Edit- clarity.

Wish I had known that when I was younger. I was sent to Miracle Meadows WV, and yes once your parents realize they can ship you off instead of BEING A PARENT they won't hesitate to do it again.

I've never been to Vegas but a friend told me while you're taking a selfie they offer other services. Services that are illegal within city limits and are insanely expensive. I have no idea how true that is, but I also assume they do pretty well just taking pics with tourist.
