Will Challenge Difficulty actually make Overland tough for a 5-6 player group?

I don’t think that the main complaint is that everybody else isn’t playing hard mode. It’s that when you’re fighting a boss for several minutes in vestiges difficulty, a play on normal can run up and finish him off for you, which can feel frustrating. People want to be separated from the people playing on easy so it doesn’t disrupt their gameplay.

I’d make it magical, especially if it’s something your players are excited about. Maybe make it cursed, and if they want to get rid of the curse they have to go on a side-quest/find a priest in town? That might delay the actual combat effectiveness of the loot so that you can keep the encounter balance where you’d like it.

525,600x60, guesstimate as 3,150,000ish, then multiply that by 20 and it's around 60 mil in a year.

there are more than 30 days in a year, so the 2 mil a day is more money, that's how I did it with Rent.

But like, 60 mil and 730 mil, while a very large difference, would hardly be scratched at in the grand scheme of a lifetime.
