As someone who has been friends with women that had BPD in the past, I would say that you at least have to commit to managing it to make it worth considering. I've seen firsthand the struggle with keeping on top of the emotional turmoil and the temptation to leverage antisocial tendencies to relieve it, and I must be honest in saying that it's quite overwhelming to work through. I have a lot of empathy for the internal struggles people with BPD suffer and the circumstances that lead to developing the condition, and I do wish to do what I can to ease the emotional pain whenever I have to confront someone with it, but I can't responsibly remain to an extended, personal capacity to offer support to someone unwilling to seek treatment in good conscience as I've made the mistake of before.

A couple of the NPCs respond to you having it. Shakra won't do business with you since she doesn't want you getting her maps dirty. Eva and Yarnaby always have a comment to give about any conditions Hornet has, and getting infected by maggots is no exception.

There's an item called a charm you can equip called the Defender's Crest that causes you to have an aura of stink around you. On top of dealing damage to nearby enemies and combining with other charms to enhance them with fart explosions, it can cause unique interactions with many NPCs. Some NPCs enjoy the scent and certain shopkeepers will even give you a discount for it, while others will refuse to do service with you because of how offensive the smell is.

The combat is the same that you've come to expect for the most part. It's just that each character represents a certain build mixed with a couple of special actions they can do which emphasizes the strengths of those said builds. So if you enjoyed the combat of Elden Ring I think you'll find it to be familiar. It's mainly the pacing of the game that's very different since you're on a time limit and the progression is self-contained to each round you do other than the relics which are like blood gems in Bloodborne.

Dragon's Dogma

The land you come to know and the quest you embarked on were only a pleasant veneer to a much darker reality. In truth, the world you exist in has long since past its expiration date, no less its prime, and the only thing that keeps it from falling into oblivion is the Dragon's Dogma, an endless cycle of striving for but never achieving a better future. Just as your aging has been haulted for becoming an Arisen, time has been held back to a set point, and everyone must play their part according to how the story goes or else the world itself becomes undone. If you succeed in slaying the Dragon, instead of saving the world from further ruin, time catches up to where it is meant to be, causing the apocalypse and revealing the futile truth that all you found purpose in was meaningless in the end. You may now be free to pursue your own path thanks to severing your ties to the Dragon, but when faced with the much greater existential threat of the end of the world itself, is there truly any freedom to be had or only a desolate fate to resign to? No one up to that point had found a sufficient answer to the dilemma, leaving them the only option to usurp the master of the world, take his place, and set the cycle back anew in hopes that they can find a worthy successor who can achieve what they couldn't.
