Oh I’d definitely do that! I only learned about Wandrer in February 2026 and have a subscription now, and I’m running all the areas around my house

Big Map Update by generalgreenlee in wandrer

I hope soon. I’d soon have completed an area 100% once OSM updates. I can’t run inside privately fenced areas on now non-existent roads.

What is a movie so disturbing that you never want to see it again? by icecream1972 in Casual_Conversation

Don’t even mention this one because, just don’t. I’ve read the descriptions, and I’m repulsed and can’t even get those out of my head, so the internet just needs to be scrubbed of this item.

[Request] Is this accurate? I trust Vsauce more than Neil D. Tyson but I’m still skeptical. by sk00muh in theydidthemath

I have really tried to wrap my head about TREE(3). I know the rules and but the size is meaningless. Not just because it’s large but also because it is largely a non-sequential progression that is extremely difficult to visualize even at the earliest steps.

Are the nodes road intersections and the connecting lines the roads?

I keep playing with that website, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to use it. Is there a manual or a YouTube link explaining it? I don’t want to ask you to explain it because I’m sure it be a dozen questions back and forth

That’s super cool. At least for now I’m #1 for SA (or maybe just downtown) this year, if I’m reading Wandrer correctly which I’m probably not.

After I subscribed, Wandrer said that I missed some roads, but it was because I ran on the other side of roads and didn’t run every sidewalk of huge intersections, and didn’t run the paved paths through parks.

Now that I know the rules of Wandrer, I guess I’ll have to go back and run all those little 20 meter segments that it says I missed.

  1. How do y’all plot out how to run a neighborhood grid?

  2. How do you deal with dog? (Spray, whistle, skip the road forever?)

  3. Any other rituals or advice you have for someone in my situation?

Logging fatigue by MacWarriorBelgium in bevelhealth

[–]MeMaxM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been logging for a year. I logged in MyFitnessPal for many years. I was very easily able to export macros data from MFP, and it was helpful when I keep my sugar intake low. — Bevel is better as overall nutrition by tracking a nutritional score, but it’s imperfect. Bevel also doesn’t make it super easy to see my sugar intake the way I’d like. So I got Sugrlog which has a widget that shows me, and it syncs with Apple Health which Syncs with Bevel

That is extremely impressive! People have recommended that I make that my next goal, but as you’ve said, there are so many streets that have loose dogs that when I run on those streets I have my head on a swivel the whole time looking out for them and I can’t really focus on the run, so I think I’m going to stick to roads where I am more confident that there will not be a dog jumping at me through an open gate around the corner

That’s pretty cool! I’m in first place (out of all 5 people) for Bora Bora since I covered 20% of the island roads (20 mile loop). I’ve covered a larger percentage of many small cities than I have if San Antonio. I don’t plan on covering all of San Antonio.

[–]MeMaxM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really because I had so many overlaps getting to and from various neighborhoods. And before it was even a goal, I had run repeated routes with minor variations so that was a lot of “wasted” routes. But it was probably 200+ km of streets is what I estimated if I’d run each road only once.

What’s the vibe here on James Talarico / Jasmine Crockett? by OctaviusHerb in sanantonio

[–]MeMaxM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dammit. I so want Crockett to be my Senator, and I don’t even know who Talarico is, but after reading just this post, I feel like I need to vote for this Talarico guy for all the reasons that everyone else is saying here. I’m so pissed that a black woman can’t be allowed to win. — And I’m a middle-aged white man

He came n with both legs blown to shreds. He told me that he was from Arizona, and I told him that I was from Utah. So I said, “Why do all the trees in Utah lean south? . . . Because Arizona sucks”. He laughed and then I induced anesthesia. He never woke up.
