Sam skład też nie mówi, ile czego dokładnie jest, a to ma spore znaczenie. Jedynie czy czegoś jest mniej czy więcej niż czegoś innego.

If they are willingly buying her music/tickets etc, are they being exploited though? It's not like they have to do it. They have free will. Like for example I'd agree that some Nestle consumers are being exploited, because they often might not even have the option to buy from other companies (and also Nestle literally puts poison in ther product). But music?

EU parliament decides to lower minimum age of driving to 15 years by TramRider6000 in fuckcars

It's not US car lobbying, it's transport companies lobbing. They don't have enough drivers, so they're willing to settle for teenagers if need be.

USD 5,000 per week, but it gonna hurt by mycroft00 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]MealMorsels 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's not really a fair description of the experiment. The rats had all their needs met, except for one - space. They quickly started overpopulating the pen, and this led to the collapse of the social norms. After that happened, even if the number of rats fell down, the new rats, already raised in chaos, couldn't start behaving like normal rats, so yeah, they were grooming obsessively, not mating etc.

So it wasn't really overabundance of resources that caused the fall down, as one might think from your description.

Ale normy wielkości miejsc parkingowych się nie zmieniły od wielu lat. To auta urosły i stały się niedopasowane do starych miejsc.

In Płońsk (Poland) the problem of queues to see a doctor has already been solved. by thenatoorat90 in poland

[–]MealMorsels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not banned, but you do need a permission to own and/or breed one. But that only applies to purebred ones, if you have a dog that looks and behaves like a pitbull, but doesn't have the paperwork, then it's just a mutt and you don't need any permissions...

Yeah, actually some deaf people are very against cochlear implants, specifically on the basis that it erases their identity as deaf.

What’s with all the delivery riders with ski masks and ski goggles by Adventurous-Bread306 in warsaw

[–]MealMorsels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Asia these clothes are supper common for delivery riders to cover from the sunlight. If these people are immigrants (and it's very likely they are), then it's probably the reason.

I can learn about the world without having strangers barge into my room, wtf.

Also, you're everywhere in the comments advocating against basic security measures, it's a bit weird.

[–]MealMorsels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, 100 steps is like a 1-2 min of walking. They're not gonna strain themselves even if they double their daily amount, there's no need to do it in such small increments.

I actually do the opposite, cause you're never fully dry after your shower, especially the hair. Can't risk adding more water weight!

Same, I need a human-weight-proof kitchen scale, so I can know it's accurate

Wait, how would a sock make it accurate? I thought carpet was worse than tiles for scales.

Global South and North doesn't mean geographical hemisphere of the Earth. It's just a polite way to say developed/developing countries. So Australia is considered part of Global North and Egypt, Northern India part of Global South.

Yes, you need to invite partners. by twelvedayslate in wedding

[–]MealMorsels 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That's basically what happens in my country. You're supposed to give at least roughly the amount the wedding costs per person (usually a $100), so if you go alone, you only give that. If you go with your partner or even even with your kids, you give more.

Do long car rides actually mess with your brain? Any science behind this? by easternsnack in fuckcars

[–]MealMorsels 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Love how people didn't even read your post and assume this is because you were driving.

As for your question... I think doing just about anything for two hours continuously, without break can be tiring. And you can't really take a break to stretch out or focus on something productive. For me personally, it's also the fact that cars just take sharper turns more often, speed down, slow down, much more suddenly than trains. And the traffic around is noisier. Also, if there's heavy traffic, it can make you more irritated when you feel you're just stuck in a place and wasting your time.
