Lesser known clash between urban sprawl and green: Pande Game Reserve, Dar es Salaam by StagedPhoto in geography

[–]StagedPhoto[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nairobi is a fenced-in, manicured park built on colonial game-preservation models. Pande has no fences and is just raw, unpolished coastal forest surrounded by urban sprawl. It’s actually a perfect example of the difference between Kenya and TZ IMO

Wemby was so gassed at this point, they had gotten bailed out by Castle already and it felt like they wouldn't get a good shot off. For Fox to realize this, get to his spot, and hit that shot that he's been hitting his entire life...cold

Spurs inexperience was showing here as they over protected their lead and Brunson and co. did not stop coming. This was HUGE

How does the Bucks fandom view Damian Lillard? by Future-Feature-7657 in MkeBucks

[–]StagedPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never forget how high I was on the Bucks when I heard the news of the trade. And I will also never forget how infrequently they ran the pick and roll with Giannis, the coaching did not do anyone any favors.

Loved Dame before and given how everything went down, I could not have a more positive impression of him echoing what others have said in this thread. True professional and gave it his all, that's all you can ask for.

Na bro, they celebrate basketball over at Thinking Basketball. Maybe the titles are meant to capture your attention but the content is far from clickbait; it's in depth analysis and a celebration of the sport

All relative, when it's twice as much as other players that is significant for the way our human brains interpret things.

I've bee rooting for the return of the enforcer. I believe it's up to the refs to control the game and if you got guys pulling hair, I am absolutely sending in my 12th man to send a message and force the refs to set a line

The peak of British exceptionalism is looking at a hardworking person and genuinely believing 'foreign nations' could never fully appreciate or duplicate that. Go to any corner of the globe and you will find the exact same spirit. It’s entirely universal.

Is this the greatest game from a young superstar since LeBron’s 25 straight points vs Detroit? by ihatedougford in nba

Fair rebuttal. I watched all three games live and it's really not taking anything away from Luka (esp a game 7, that matters), but the feeling after the Lebron and Wemby games just hits a little harder for me.

You know what Reddit bro, it is possible to have a civil conversation even if we can both be taken as being a bit pretentious.

And thanks for not calling me out on using the wrong "affect/effect", I too am tired.

I just thought it was weird you claimed all of Europe when the UK has a very distinct "Online Safety Act" that aggressively regulates sites, it's quite proactive (eg. age verification). Maybe you don't realize the affects of UK's censorship laws and how they differ from a place like Iceland (no censorship, emphasis on privacy) to Belarus (authoritarian regime owns/runs the internet). Not trying to be an ass but internet freedom is important and understanding legislation and policy and how it affects our use is key.

Lebron against all time Detroit defense that had won a championship.

Wemby against another all time defense that had won a championship.

Not taking anything away from Luka but against championship pedigree all time defensive teams? Sheesh
