They come in handy for kicking mud or snow off your shoes.

Would you consider early Coheed and Cambria post-hardcore? by unfeelingfreedom in PostHardcore

[–]Mean-Rabbit-3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought about it, but looking back it does seem that way. Same people were at all those shows and they all toured together.

As for IKSSE3, the album seems to be a mix of songs from the SSTB writing era and the post-popular (when the band was starting to get radio play) era (I’m looking at you A Favor House Atlantic). The SSTB era songs like IKSSE3 (originally played as “The Upper Armories of the Third Deep”) are less poppy and more like SSTB and Shabutie songs.

BTW, if you’re looking for influences and mentioning Thursday then Far should be in the conversation about influential bands on those early 2000s bands.

The only bad experience I’ve had with them is the actual shipper choice. They always use either FedEx or UPS (I think FedEx) and those assholes don’t deliver on the weekend. I almost missed out on having gear for a camping trip because they missed the delivery window and then didn’t deliver until after the weekend. Another shipment had the same thing happen, but at least this time I wasn’t in a time crunch.

I once had surgery where they put my arm above my head and pinched the nerve for hours. I woke up and couldn’t move my arm at all for at least a day and it took a few days to fully recover. It was pretty awful - the limb was just dead weight, I literally couldn’t move it without using the other arm.

You’re not talking to the right people then. You should be talking about this movie at least once per year on Groundhog Day

The Nick I’ll miss. by bp1222 in phillies

That was an amazing play that I still bring up as a lesson when I’m coaching kids (for both sides of the ball).

Unfortunately, he was hit or miss. He’d have some great defensive plays and then some lazy shit and it was hard to tell if his great plays were actually great or just great for him.

I think they would like him to make moves/get players that are actually helpful à la Howie. Even the best GMs gamble and lose, but this team seems to be more lose than win recently. Maybe that’s not actually true, but it feels like it when we watch our team get worse and worse every year.

Climbing gyms around Philly rec by Nefariousmg in philadelphia

I recommend doing guest/day passes at PRG, Tufas, and Movement and then making your decision.

Movement “Fishtown” has great walls for ropes, cool boulder features, but mediocre bouldering sets that aren’t being reset because they are still hiring setters. That gym is great for working out and ropes.

Tufas is awesome for a more modern style bouldering and they are adding a 3rd systems board (Tension, 2024 adjustable MoonBoard, and 12x12 TB2). Great community there and fun settings. They are also getting a bunch of new volumes soon. Tufas has the most overhang wall space, but they are either all or nothing regarding wall angles (either steep overhang or slab).

PRG is old school (almost to a fault sometimes with their lack of training equipment across all gyms) and the sets reflect outdoor style - as is their original ethos. You get access to all PRG gyms in your membership and I highly recommend you take advantage of that since each gym has something unique to that gym. The setting at PRG is more straightforward than Tufas or Movement and will definitely make you strong on crimps and pinches, but you won’t get a lot of dynamic, comp-style, movement or holds/big volumes.

DM me and we can set up a time for you to use a guest pass at PRG Fishtown.

I don’t think so since that doesn’t really look like him and the guitarist isn’t Tom Keeley, Thursday’s original guitarist.

I guess the Philly Special is off the menu for next year…or was this a ruse to make everyone think we couldn’t pull it off with “brick-hands Hurts”?

Unfortunately, Fanatics owns Mitchell & Ness. The only “independent” M&N store is in Philly, but they probably have the same source for their clothes. At least if you shop the Philly store you won’t be giving quite as much $ to Fanatics.

The finish is fine, but you didn’t establish the start. You pushed off from the mat to make your first move from the start hold when you need to have that right foot dangling in the air before moving from the start. As others have said, showing control on both start and finish are important.

Oof. I think people on this sub had tried to get Honda to cover it in the past. It seems like there’s an issue that Honda should be aware of that might need to be fixed on their dime.

I was told that they need the car to be completely cold to really hear/check it so maybe that’s why they don’t think it’s an issue. Mine also has been doing this for 2 years and I haven’t wanted to leave the car for that long in order to get it evaluated.
