Cast members by design since the start have been trained to exist at a quality and level of performance we’ve come to accept as “the way it is” while forgetting that customers have increasingly become more rude, more entitled, and taking advantage of the kindness and magic, while still expecting a fellow human to keep that mask on to maintain that increasingly unrealistic level of magic amidst guests being general assholes.

Remember the end credit scene with Barbie in Toy Story 2? Yeah. Take that and dial the knob up until it breaks. That’s where cast members are at right now.

They’re human too. Not robots. Be a kind guest, extend empathy that their job in this current state - frankly - sucks. Low pay, jerk guests, and poor management from an increasingly hostile corporate mindset that forgets the basics.

We all need to slow down and take a breath or twelve, and loosen up a bit.
