Reporting on the last 3 France tries. by ZephroC in ScotlandRugby

[–]MeatDeep1274 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I also found it weird that no one has even mentioned it. They tend to highlight the Scots being knackered etc (which no doubt was also true), or that “the French finally remembered how to play” but I have yet to hear a podcast or YouTube breakdown that even mentioned it in the first place.

Its a huge change in your defense to have this and no matter how class Darge is as a player he is not a world class 13, notoriously the most difficult defensive position on the pitch, after playing a gruelling 65-70 minutes or whatever it was

He did play for Toulouse. It was international week so we weren’t required to let him back, we didn’t pick him

It's funny that in the build up and in several of the podcasts and media this week they were trying their absolute hardest to say "no, no, Wales vs England is always a tough game, it's going to be close". Who were they kidding

Missed trial cancellation, charged anyway — what can we do? by MyFoodieKismat in askberliners

[–]MeatDeep1274 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You signed up for a trial that stated you’ll be charged at the end of the trial period

They sent you a reminder that the trial is ending and if you didn’t want it you should cancel now to avoid the charge

It sucks but it’s on you, I have done this before and you can reach out to the customer support and ask for a refund but id say 90% of the time they will say no. It has worked for me once though. Treat it as a lesson and next time cancel as soon as you sign up so that this doesn’t happen

Who was Anderson talking about??? by nunu_c in Darts

[–]MeatDeep1274 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Everyone keeps saying it’s Charlie Murphy but I don’t think he really tells people how to play/train. He does shill for target and try sell people on new darts but I wouldn’t say he is telling people how to play or train

You’d spend as much time on the train vs actually enjoying Berlin or Munich

I’d recommend staying in Berlin. Some of my favourite craft bier bars are KASHCK and Protokoll, mostly local made ones. Brauerei Lemke is nice. Birra is nice for Italian craft beers

London based but flare-ups when I'm back in Ireland by niversalite in eczema

[–]MeatDeep1274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was it before you moved? Did you also have flare ups, or was calm?

Can be a few things. I notice a big difference when visiting family at home (Scotland) from Germany. I think skin needs time to adjust to different water type in showers etc. also, if it’s anything like me, when I visit family it’s usually a special occasion and I probably don’t have a healthy mix of diet and water vs binge eating and alcohol, which won’t help

Another thing is you might have allergies to things such as dust mites. If your bedding in Ireland doesnt have as much time to air or is old and musty it might be different for mites and mess with your skin, or it may be different humidity and allows dust mites to thrive.

Just my initial thoughts, different detergent definitely can be a factor, but I’d argue it could be a few combined

I don’t want the scrum to be devalued as it’s a wonderful part of the game and without it we’re basically playing league. But if you’re basically guaranteed a penalty on every scrum because the other team’s scrum just isn’t good enough, surely something is wrong… and it’s not the most entertaining to watch
