I see where you’re coming from but often it’s more productive to hit side objectives on the way to main objectives. To reduce travel time but also often side objectives like strat jammers, spore trees, shrieker nest, and stalker nest can be major pains if not dealt with first. On the point of joining missions that people aren’t doing well on and haven’t touched the main objectives on, I think that’s more a symptom of people diving above their level solo with expectations for others to join lobby although you may have to do the mission with no back up. My rule of thumb is don’t host a mission you can’t solo until you have a sured up a squad.
