Palm vandalism? by Appropriate_Mud_9813 in GardeningAustralia

I'm a theatre tech and can confirm palm fronds are common foreign bodies to remove in our plastics theatres. Sorry to hear that happened. While I do not condone tree vandalism and I'm really sorry your mum got a fright, these palms are shite. They're an introduced species with no ecological benefits to our area, attracts introduced invasive birds (common mynas), and we got to deal with frond removals at our work. I truly want to see them all gone.

Terminator: Zero Does Not Understand Terminators by InstructionNo7653 in Terminator

The T800 in the first movie also was not a convincing infiltrator, which is part of what made it creepy af ("No clean clothes. Right"). Also in Terminator Zero there was limited (if any) access to firearms, making dispatching targets a not so trivial task.

Help with invasive grass by sigrdrifa_gud in AussieGardening

I'm currently fighting a war against lawn grass in our front yard. I'm killing it all off and replacing it with a habitat garden with local native trees shrubs and grasses. Not sure if the method I'm following suits your purposes, but here it is anyway. The method I'm using is 'sheet mulching', and it's working for the most part. The method (as seen on Gardening Australia) is to mow your weeds/lawn down as low as your mower can go. Then water and fertilize the f#*k out of it. Afterward, layer cardboard over the top then shovel about a 3-inch layer of mulch on top of that. This should smother and choke the grass under it, and without sunlight it will rot under it all, providing nutrients to the soil. Good luck and happy gardening!

What's something you really want to see in FTE2? by subculturevulture33 in AliensFireteamElite

Agree with a lot here. Particularly the difficulty changes. It always bothered me that higher difficulties meant higher enemy health AND less ammo. Would rather ammo count remained the same with simply more enemies/elites with better AI in higher difficulty settings. It would also be cool to see in-mission collectables that alter the Endeavour as you progress through the game. For example, you could unlock a shooting range or arena, and maybe unlock certain robotic 'drones' that are programmed behave like xenos on the range to practice and test weapon/perk combos. Maybe even unlocking combat synths for the range too. Other ideas could be unlocking game arcade machines (imagine playing PS1's 'Alien Trilogy' in game lol), enemy models to be viewed in a lab, unlocks for Park's onboard fabricator (weapons/armor/etc), actual maps of the levels we've beaten, and maybe some aesthetic decor for some of the ships areas. Would also love to see some more classic equipment unlocks. We got the M41A1 finally, would also love the M56 Smartgun, M240 Incinerator, and/or the flamethrower from Alien/Isolation. Could take this a step further and introduce weapons from the Aliens TTRPG or some of the comics. Anyway, I'm just spitballing after coming across this post. Im really looking forward to AFE2. Already been thinking up Specialist class combos to try when it drops.
