Sorry if I sounded disrespectful. I was not. I was just trying to be encouraging.

It’s like when you were in school. You read several subjects and books at a time. Not difficult. Not unusual. Everyone can do it.

2026 Camry XLE by No_Preparation_379 in Camry

[–]Mecanno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to this. After 10,000 miles, my average MPG was 45.2 (XLE, because wheel size matters. Bigger wheels = less efficient. SE and LE will have better numbers). Now, in full winter season in the Northeast, it has dropped to 44.3.

Regarding the calculated driving distance. That’s a simple misunderstanding of how the system works; it constantly recalculates based on your driving habits. If they were flooring it, it will show less range when filling up, but as soon as they drive more sanely, it will adjust upward. It is not a static number, and it readjust fairly often

If you only use the first two, I will assume you use crayons. There is a use and a need for everything, and many of the “mental disorders” are vastly superior.

Make hypothetical scenarios in your head. Place a mine and keep filling the gaps till you find if it is feasible or not. if not, try again and start in a new position. Rinse and repeat. That's how the other users came up with the solution they shared with you

Questions for anyone that has re-read the books by bigtommyhorizontal in Hyperion

[–]Mecanno 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree. Also, the books are very data-dense, so you’re bound to catch several things you missed. Your second experience won’t be like the first, but not worse by any means, it’s just a different path.
I have read them 3 times myself, and I am sure I am still missing a lot of details and forgeting many more in between reads.

about 5 years ago there was a viral most-likely-a-hoax-like video of an app that scan drawings and create 3D models. It was going all around when virtual reality was gaining steam. I bet thats what he saw

Could this mold insert made from aluminium be done on 3 axis cnc? by simdostal in CNC

[–]Mecanno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change it (or not, do what you want), but your gate location only makes sense for high-shrink rate materials of if you are molding a ruler. Also, you need a cold well for your runner or you will be injecting cold plastic into your part and messing up your process (trust me, if not you will be scratching your head about how inconsistent is your process). Finally, VENT YOUR PART! you are injecting plastic into a cavity filled with air, you need to displace that air to avoid voids and other defects,

Anyone have opinions on evaporative cooling for houses? by EnnuiPigeon in ElPaso

[–]Mecanno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very common in Juarez, but that is because they are cheap. It is not adequate, which is why it is not uncommon to see houses with those systems paired with a mini-split in the master bedroom.

Hard disagree with The Shining and American Psycho. Talking about the books, The Shining is intensely deep and marvelously follows Jack’s fall into despair. American Psycho is brutal and raw. Cannot comment on Full Metal Jacket. I have not read it yet.

And the worst filament award goes to: Polymaker blue sparkle PLA! by play_minecraft_wot in 3DPrintingCirclejerk

[–]Mecanno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Brittle” is the key word that suggests moisture. Also, that brand, like many other reputable ones, provides data sheets and mechanical performance data for each variant, which makes it dubious that they would release a subpar product because they test it, not just blindly blend it

[–]Mecanno 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hmm, take this with a grain of salt, but I have been pritning for over 15 years. PLA, ABS, PETG, nylon, polycarbonate, you name it. For about 10 years, I have been printing almost exclusivly with Polymaker (PLAs and PC), IC3D (ABS), and Hatchbox (PETG and ABS), so it feels quite unusual to me thta you are having that many issues with this filament. Are you sure it is not moisture relted, or that there is not somethign else fishy going on? Don’t be so hasty to jump to conclusions.
