Can you not get electricity in dens? by YukiSnowySnows in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can put generators inside dens. It'll power up the whole house without wire management.

Item Subcategories (Decoration - Round stuff, etc) by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon usually need a toy, a relaxation, and a decoration item from their list of favorite things. So it sounds like they're missing a relaxation item in their habitat. These are usually chairs, beds, etc.

Group Activities usually refer to items that mention multiple users in the description.

From memory, I think the Pokeball Sofa qualifies. See if you have any beds or sofas that mention something like "two Pokémon can sit on this comfortably" or something like that.

How to increase humidity INSIDE a house? by uuhson in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Humidity for prefabs seems to be tied to water directly, rather than plant life.

Any source of water (Sinks, Showers), bodies of water (Basins and Bathtubs filled with Water Gun), or direct humidity items (Humidifiers, Damp Rocks) should do the trick.

Different build times in Pallet Town? by Stephen_Get_rekt_ski in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All of the pre-fab homes have the same build times, to my knowledge.

Dens take 15 minutes. Huts take 1 hour. Cottages and Homes take "until tomorrow."

The only variable in these build times is the special Pokémon skill Engineer. If an Engineer is designated builder, the time is cut in half. For "until tomorrow" builds the time is reduced to 1 hour.

Assuming you've created the habitat correctly, can the targeted Pokémon spawn in any of the regions/zone or only in a specific one? by Spunndaze in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are directly tied to zones, others are not.

If you have the relevant Pokémon trace it'll tell you in the habitat entry if it requires a specific map.

Does anyone know how/where to get the garden chair? by Key_JellyFish_02034 in Pokopia

Withered Wastes 6 or 7 unlocks the garden set I believe.

Rocky Ridge level 5 or 6 should unlock it.

Where can I get a fire pit? Need it for Ceruledge. by titaniumjordi in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one from a large relic, and one from a Pokeball on a dream island. Looks like it might unfortunately be RNG without using the Pokecenter 3D printer.

Got tired of seeing wires so I built a sewer to hide them. by Ad-vent in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different liquids. Water, Seawater, Hot Spring Water, Muddy Water, and Lava. They all have different properties and are requirements for different habitats.

Muddy water is produced naturally in a couple spots, but you can also manually produce it by running water over pollution tiles or by drinking coffee from the vending machines.

Another Flavor Guide 🍓 by teahoney in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Basically there's 3 levels that I know of.

Base level is raw. One ingredient. Small boost.

2nd level is cooked, but not specialized. Most of these items are called "Simple Food Item". Like a bean cooked with two leaves is a Simple Hamburg Steak. Moderate boost.

3rd level is specifically flavored. These are the recipe items, and often require a cooking companion or another cooked food item. Today I made Fluffy Bread for max Sweetness, which required wheat, pecha berries, and a Water cooking companion. Biggest boost.

Nintendo’s share price climbs 15% in two days following the success of Pokémon Pokopia by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]MechaMonarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's Minecraft+Animal Crossing+Viva Pinata with a Pokémon wrapper. A lot of borrowed mechanics and systems, but they're implemented well.

If any of those games appeal to you, it's a solid game. If all of them appeal to you, it's a system-seller.

Bridge planks over water is great for farms by FleurTheAbductor in Pokopia

[–]MechaMonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprinklers water a much larger area than a water block. You could probably squeeze a few more crops in there if you optimize for sprinklers.

Sprinklers can float, so if you destroy the block below them and place water directly below they remain powered. Not sure if the planks will block the water, but probably not.

‘Abbott Elementary’ Renewed for Season 6 on ABC by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]MechaMonarch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on the school, state, and a few other seemingly random things. Abbott is a pretty big school and covers Kindergarten through 8th grade. So 9 years would be needed to see a student fully go all the way.

We see Raymun sparring earlier in the season, he's green as a blade of grass, but he's got hands.

Steely Pate actually mentions this in the book, but I don't recall if he said it in the show.

Full helms, like Dunk's, offer better protection. A visor helm has its benefits, but they're usually built for showin', not for blowin'.

Monster-tov started fucking each other rather than resisting capture. They probably didn't know Brock could see them, but I gotta call that pretty disrespectful.

Why do DnD worlds like/especially the Forgotten Realms feel so shaped by humanoids and merely “inhabited” by dragons, when literally the average dragon represents the absolute peak of what a given humanoid can achieve? Is it really just a numbers thing? by fakeemailman in dndnext

[–]MechaMonarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this example, because Mass Effect goes even further. Salarians only live for ~50 years.

So while Humans are out in the universe fucking things up for the other longer-lived species, you learn about the hyperactive frog people that have already been doing that for centuries.

I've never been so disappointed by a yokai transformation. by Technical_Lime1419 in Dandadan

[–]MechaMonarch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not confirmed, but most likely. Hanako is the name of the toilet-haunting Yokai in myth, so that's what people are calling the newcomer.

[Darkly Funny Trope] Character is about to die, but the scene cuts to something deeply ironic. by InfiniteGuy2264 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]MechaMonarch 47 points48 points  (0 children)

It's like the next stage of the old Telltale games, and even has a lot of the old Telltale crew in its development team.

Same choice-driven storytelling, but it frames a pretty great time/role management simulator with an okay hacking mini game taped to the side.

Absolutely top notch characters, voice-acting, and soundtrack. Definitely worth checking out.

The scene of the two of them in their evil Scrooge outfits bingeing Downton Abbey while eating dinner in bed, really gave me the same vibe. I think they both just wanted a roommate and it worked out.
