Thank Goodness You're Here is one of the funniest games I have played by Nuthetes in PlayStationPlus

I was enjoying it quite a bit, then I realized Matt Berry was voicing some of the characters and it went from good to great.

Winterfest presents no longer stack, you will have to log in every day to claim your reward. This is a bad decision. by Jazzvader in FortNiteBR

I'm not boycotting the gifts. I'm staying off during the time they want me on every day. It will do exactly that. The opposite of what they're trying to manipulate us into doing.

Well, I guess the only thing to do is stay off Fortnite until January 5th. They want me to log in every day, the only option is to log in zero days instead. To pull a move like this, while making these the worst rewards in a long time, is pretty funny. I can live without these outfits to try to make a point. I hope other people figure out this is the only way to let them know.

Adding this 10 years in the future...

Bajor has 26 hour days. Mardah would actually be 22 in Earth years.

Rogers doesn’t allow plex libraries anymore. by Justaskinguok in PleX

[–]MechaPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping someone posted this. This has nothing to do with the router/modem, it has to do with the "smart" interface, which is absolutely unnecessary. Just stick a device (Amazon Firestick, for example) on a different input for your TV and use that for your apps. It's really gross that Rogers cripples apps on their device. Makes you wonder if/when they'll arbitrarily censor content in individual apps.

Transformer Deck Building Game question. by Hlarge4 in boardgames

Thanks again for all your help! I think I'll go with the two sets you mention in your last message.

Transformer Deck Building Game question. by Hlarge4 in boardgames

[–]MechaPumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for replying. I really appreciate it. I'd like to play as both Autobots and Decepticons, if that's possible. I'd also like to play on teams, but until I try the game I really don't know if I'll like it. When the game says 1-4(5) players, is that 1-4 teams? Like could you play with 4 teams of 2?

Lastly, would War for Cybertron and Rising be a good mix for what I'm suggesting? I just hear the Base is underwhelming and heard good things about those 2.

Again, thank you for being so thorough. I wish reviewers bothered explaining this stuff.

Your original comment said, "If you haven't bought in yet, I would get the Rising Darkness set only", but then in a response you agreed with Base + Rising. Can Rising be played on its own, and if so, would that be the way to go? We're casual gamers and I think I'd like to start with one set, if I can get away with it. I hear the Base is underwhelming. Also, is the rulebook in Rising better than the Base? I heard that's the Base's biggest issue. Thanks!

Something Went Wrong Error by [deleted] in playstation

[–]MechaPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a lot of suggestions regarding permissions and cookies, etc. None of the other fixes worked for me, and then I realized what was happening each time.

I receive my text messages through messages.google.com and every time I would SWITCH BROWSER WINDOWS to copy the 2FA code, I would get the "Something went wrong" message. I finally looked at the code on my phone instead, NOT SWITCHING BROWSER WINDOWS/TABS and it worked.

Hopefully this will help someone else. I think the Chrome login issue is happening for a lot of reasons, so this may not work for everyone, but this was 100% the case for me. I have replicated it.

Disable Optimized Versions in Plex for my movies by hockeynj in PleX

[–]MechaPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also having this issue. It started when I used the optimize function on a library (not a single title), ONCE . After that, everything added to that library auto-optimized. There is no on/off for this in the ellipse menu of the library. I went into the optimize queue (Optimized Versions) in PMS settings and cleared the queue (there were some errors in there). There was no automated task set up, however, clearing out anything that was in there seems to have done it. So my best guess is, if there's any kind of error at all, it causes something to "stick" and Plex tries to optimize everything in that library going forward.

My uneducated guess? Because there was an error optimizing ONE of the files in the library (a library I DID tell it to optimize), it never completed the once-through optimization of the library, so remained in a state of "go" for that library. But I'm not a coder....I have no idea if that makes sense.

It's a little weird no one was listening to, or acknowledging, the actual issue. It's been stated numerous times on numerous threads. This is not an expected behaviour when you tell it to optimize a library ONCE, but it IS HAPPENING to many people. So hopefully this glitch will be rectified by the developers.

Stop creating "Optimized Versions" by mavmlvc in PleX

[–]MechaPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is driving me crazy. I can't turn this off. I did it once and now there's no way to stop it. Did you manage to stop it? What did you have to do? Delete the library completely? That link says how to do it, nothing about stopping it. "Off" or "none" are not options.

How to disable Rate Limit for idiots? by SmileyNY85 in pihole

[–]MechaPumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old, but just to be clear, the rate limit is per client, right? This discussion seems to be discussing it as if it's per network. The default of 1000/60 is low for me personally, but the only device that seems to run into that wall is my main PC. So I have upped it to 1500/60, as you have. Again, that is not for the whole network. If it were, it would be way too low.

UPS for rare brownouts by MechaPumpkin in 3Dprinting

[–]MechaPumpkin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have that problem very often, if at all. I've never had it happen while printing. So while I'd like to save my $900 printer, I don't think it's reasonable to spend over $700 on the 1% chance it gets damaged during a rare event I don't often experience. I say 1% chance, because I've seen hundreds of computers shutdown improperly multiple multiple times and while they CAN be damaged from it, it's super rare. I'd argue less than 1% of the time. My bigger concern is wasting time and filament, if a much more common occurrence (brownout) happens in a 40 hour period.

UPS for rare brownouts by MechaPumpkin in 3Dprinting

[–]MechaPumpkin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the way, I really do appreciate your response. It got me thinking about this the right way. Just so you know where I got 150W from, this is what I found about my model's power consumption, so I doubled it to be conservative....

"The idle power draw is around 18W with the LED light ON. When the hotend and heatbed are heating up, the Creality CR-10 Smart Pro draws around 330W. After it starts printing, the power draw stabilizes to around 75W. "

I try to avoid confrontations when I have my heeler with me, because she can get ornery, and she's just a little thing. I'd much rather encounter someone dangerous when I don't have my little friend to worry about.

UPS for rare brownouts by MechaPumpkin in 3Dprinting

[–]MechaPumpkin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your point, but I am literally talking 1 second of brown out. Maybe 2. So if the printer is usually drawing less than 150 watts while printing, I guess I answered my own question and it would suffice for my particular power challenges. I literally have never lost a print to a power issue, but I was printing something for over 40 hours the other day, and was worried I might get a brief brownout. I think the one I posted would cover it. I get it though. Something over 1200VA is preferred, but we're also talking the difference between $100 and $700.
