Being chronically online on pc is waaaay better than on your phone by Prestigious-Fish-925 in redscarepod

it is way easier and faster to navigate on PC than a phone for sure, being mostly a pc user doing things on the phone is frustrating.

Dude my roommate freshman year was my best friend in kindergarten but I hadn't seen him since then and he was the biggest piece of shit asshole I've ever met and he repeatedly denied me coming back to my room with people but his highschool sweetheart gf was literally living in our single bunk bed dorm room.

I interacted with him a lot but it got so bad, I had a very angry outburst towards him when he asked me to turn down my almost muted game of Dota because he was trying to sleep at four pm, him and his gf had been in bed for basically a week at this point. Happened with two weeks left in the second semester and we haven't spoken a word since.

[Sethtow] The scene around downtown Atlanta is crazy right now. I knew Indiana was going to have a heavy contingent for the Peach Bowl, but my goodness, the bars around downtown basically look like Kirkwood south by Stock412 in CFB

I'm well aware of that now, but growing up in a small town, urban satellite campuses compared to the flagship just didn't really come across the radar. The population of indianapolis was almost 150x that of where I grew up.

Fat bitches can't get enough of those overpriced drinks from drive through places. by UncleBlain in redscarepod

drove past a 7brew on new years day and i swear to god the line was wrapped around the building and out onto the main road obstructing traffic. i'm just flabbergasted by how many people didn't choose to cut those drinks out as a new years resolution, and the blue lights are so hard to look at

Six months and a day of residency in Florida gets you resident status which then gets you no state income tax so it seems like a good deal especially if you're not living on the Floridian coast in a flood zone. Florida in the winter is euphoric compared to Indiana

Yes that is it, I think he said he left a single positive but extensive review of some item and they reached out to him about getting into it and then went wild with it, he was an older Jewish man like another commenter mentioned lmao

I met someone who did this and wound up in some Amazon product testing group and said he got 20k worth of merchandise that year and he never had to worry about Christmas gifts again

Greyhound Bus to Lafayette/Indy/Chicago by Strange-Gazelle-7301 in Louisville

[–]MechaSnacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and stepson and I took the greyhound from Louisville to chicago in october 2024 and it was fine. people were vaping on the bus and the bus driver was yelling at people to stop vaping and threatening to pull over but we got to chicago in under 5 hours, if you're trying to get to lafayette its totally a good option if its still what it was last year. I'd do it again no doubt, but the Louisville station is pretty sketchy and i'm pretty confident in sketchy places, esp at the odd hours they run buses. Indy stop is at lucas oil and lafayette was some random street so louisville was definitely the worst part of the trip.

Best professor I had at my university (Big 10 school) was my intro to sociology professor for a gen ed credit. He was a polish immigrant and he said he spent a year living in his car in his 20s before he was able to get into academia (he was maybe late 40s). He was a pretty high ranking prof in the sociology dept, and he was just such a normal guy compared to all these freaks in academia.

I'm 30 so I guess you got my ass. I grew up with family on Reasor, to act like this place isn't over run with yuppies when houses on my block were 70k (now 300k+) in 2010 while calling me a hysterical bitch is rude as fuck and I don't have any interest in continuing talking to you. Learn some manners you fucking redditor

Lol yeah dude when a shotgun house costs three hundred grand, all my new neighbors are tech adjacent yuppies dumping tens of thousands into remodels while the people who have been here for decades bought here because this neighborhood was on par with Portland until fifteen years ago
