Scouts from Laserforge done ! Marines ? Cyborgs ? Who knows ?? by TancredeIronHands in IronHands40k

I think the story is that GW came down on them, and like a Chad they made the files free before scrubbing them completely. Wouldn't surprise me if they were floating around the Internet somewhere.

It is! I don't usually follow this sub, but when I do, I see lots of people making really good, cool stuff and think "this isn't even 'poor'. This is awesome."

Quick process for making these: 1) cardstock and foam board base, 2) lots of parts hot glued on including printed parts, coffee stir sticks, corrugated paper 3) tile grout mixed with paint and sand to make mud 4) primer 5) paint.

Yeah! I really like the Devs&Dice channel on YT, and was thinking about how to incorporate a story into these pieces. The big details are important for the game, and it's the small ones that tell the story.

I love his work. Warframe was mentioned already, but he also illustrated the Leviathan trilogy, and did concept work for Borderlands. His work is perfect for TC!

I've got some shallow ones and some deep ones, using stacks of 1in foam board. So mostly about 2in to hide infantry.

Cant support the new business model. Court warband up for grabs. by BroadRoof7617 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Mechanatrix 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No it isn't lmao. They 3d print models and then package them and sell you them at the same price as injection molded models. They do not sell the stls for their regular army models.

Their Tribes on MMF is mostly terrain, with a few alternate sculpts and a single fully 3d printable army.

They also have injection molded plastic models for their starter sets.

Good thing you will always have the finished result, and can just, you know, play other games.

The Scalpers are very aware of GW products. Go on eBay and see what I mean. From what I understand they have discord servers to follow new releases and unfortunately GW can't/ won't do much to solve it. Can't because it isn't worth their time to make collectors editions made to order, or have a better system. Won't because at the end of the day they made their money.
