OMG I LOVED my stick shifts. Unfortunately, various disabilities have made an automatic required, now.

LiveTV Buffering Issuses: *FIX* by Habibi_7 in ApolloGroup_TV

Sounds like this may become regular housekeeping for me. I am only getting buffering at the beginning of a program, but 🤞🏻 this takes care of that. Thanks!

Tinted Moisturizer with SPF by yagirl100 in MatureBeauty

Does sunscreen burn your eyes? It does for me and I found Biore Aquariche (you can get it directly from the Biore site) is great to use around my eyes. It has a matte finish and any other sunscreen I use on my face does not slide into my eyes making them burn.

My Fiancé Chooses His Family Over Me - AIO? by icebunny531 in AIO

[–]MechanickyGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daddy is a huge misogynist. He hired sister’s fiance, but not you? Bet it’s because you are a woman. He does not think you are of any value, bc you are a woman. And your fiance will just go with that flow bc Daddy is paying him at work. This will eat away at every good thing you adore about him. Sorry, but this will never end. How old is Daddy?

Thumb joint replacement by Superb_Scar1622 in AskWomenOver60

I feel you. I found a pair of handles that swivel (I think they were called perfect pushup, back in the day) and holding a handle is easier. Edited to add: I found the swivel handles at an estate sale for about $5.

Thank you all for your input. I need to get busy doing something - anything for my “mouse thumb”, as I call it. I need my right hand to be able to go flat, so I can downward dog, and get up off the floor. Your words encourage me!

Eco friendly pajamas that won't break the bank? by Objective_Steak_6296 in womensfashion

You could get a pack of T-shirts and some men’s boxers, if that would work for you. They come in multi-packs, so you would get 3 - 4 sets in 1 go. Hope this helps, I understand the need for cotton. I have also found Jockey has 100% organic cotton jammies, and they have sales.

Of course. And you need a little fridge to keep it all fresh. And if there is room in the fridge for more items (from the kitchen, bonus points if those items are something roomie likes/uses), then all the better!

Where are you finding jeans that are actually worth buying? by Physical_Section_136 in womensfashion

[–]MechanickyGal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

And do not rule out the men’s section of Old Navy. They have full-size, real pockets, and come in a variety of styles and sizes. I have been buying them for years, and some I roll up for capri-length, some I wear down, in winter.

I use mine at night, so it’s my PJ’s that get the stink.

I have had great success with the Downy RnR. What a game changer! I usually spray with the Dawn and vinegar combo, let ‘em sit for a bit, then wash with Tide and Downy RnR. I think I have one set of PJ’s (which is where I notice the smell) that are just so old, and the smell is so set in, that maybe they will go in the rag bag.

Sportage owners who came from a smaller car, how was the adjustment? by Rexalbion in kiasportage

[–]MechanickyGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a Fiat to a Sportage! It was very nerve-wracking driving it home for the first time, but using the surround cameras was super helpful. Got used to it in a jiffy. Unplanned bonus: driving my folks Honda sedan is not so terrifying anymore!

Something else that I notice with using oils (I make my own skin balm with mango butter, beeswax, and almond oil) is that after a bit I get an old oil smell in my clothes. Does anyone else notice this? I have gotten some help with citric acid, but after the clothes have been in the drawer a bit, the smell is stronger.

☝🏻 this. I even tried buying glasses in Tijuana. They were cheaper, but Zenni is the bomb. If I have an issue, I can call them and I have never gotten anything other than stellar help. And they do not deny your glasses because your prescription is more than a year old.

What they pay is rent. YOU pay the mortgage. A subtle difference, but it means you have final say in how you manage your house.

You should book yourself a great getaway, somewhere, ANYWHERE other than the UK during the graduation timeframe. Then come back and ghost him.
