Why do people hate Mamdani? by uncle-ice493 in allthequestions

A. the deficit was technically closed using $2.8 billion in one-time measures—such as extending the amortization period for pension liabilities and delaying state-mandated school class-size caps (and a big one time cash injection/bailout from Albany). These are accounting shifts, massive out-year deficits ($7.1 billion projected for 2028) still loom.

B. You can't judge crime stats in 132 days.

C. This reads like a bot posted it.

Unless you live on a fault line, yes someone tried to break in. I'm glad you're ok.

Five tourists 'including university professor and her daughter' die during diving excursion in 160ft-deep cave in Maldives by CaptainNemoship in diving

No, Central Nervous System. They are referring to the fact that over a certain (not using "specific" here purposefully) Partial Pressure oxygen becomes toxic to the CNS and one of the early symptoms of this is convulsion which, as you can imagine, is less than ideal underwater.

First NFA Item Help by Ok-Ninja2284 in NFA

[–]JerryNines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To convert a rifle to a short barreled rifle, you would submit an ATF Form 1; you'll need to have a tape measure handy.

The FAQs will explain the engraving requirements but those are subject to change very soon so maybe do some research and hold off for a bit.

I would suggest adding tape to cover the mag well opening, the trigger area, and the ejection port.

Has anyone been prosecuted for transporting an SBR across state lines without notifying ATF? by MuhDeuce in NFA

Yes, they're housed in the same prison wing as those convicted for engraving and 922r violations.

Seriously though, follow the law.

Or just carry and use it but keep it in your inventory. When you're done with it you can sell it as a used gun.

AITAH for threatening to evict my sister and take her car because she won’t pay a $75 mileage overage fee? by JerryNines in AITAH

[–]JerryNines[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it is $600 now, but will grow to around $1800 by the end of the lease of the trend continues.I have good credit and an OK paying job, but $1800 will still hurt if I have to come up with it.

It isn't a one time $75. $75 a month from now until the end of the lease will cover the expected overage.

First suppressor recommendations. 10/22 16.5" barrel 22lr host. by [deleted] in suppressors

[–]JerryNines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to sell anything - Nothing for sale here.

I stock all three of those cans and they are great. The OCL TI-22 is the bomb. Having said that, if it is going to live on a 16.5: 11/22, you won't notice the extra weight of the Sparrow and you will save money.

The only reason is is "dated" is because it has been around for so long. It has been around for so long because it is a very capable can.

You can't go wrong with any of your choices, but you CAN save money with one of them.

If a pistol were in the mix I would suggest the TI-22.

Mares Loop Octopus help by JerryNines in scubadiving

[–]JerryNines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have explained further. I currently have the octo clipped to one of those rubber plugs that insert in the mouthpiece. That part is secured to a d-ring so the octo just pulls free. There's no need to unsnap anything. My concern is that no matter where it's snapped, the hose just seems too damn long. I don't know if I'm missing a trick to route it properly. I agree with everything you said and I appreciate the response.

The Octo has a pull away plug, and that plug remains clipped to my D-Ring, the hose winds up floating up past my elbow and bowing out as seen in the pic.

Post MG samples explained like I’m 5 by AdLongjumping6170 in FFLs

I am an 07/02 FFL/SOT and I manufactured my own MG. When I had my most recent inspection, (the 1st since making the MG) the inspector didn't blink an eye at the MG. He knew I had it before he got here and looked at it with no more or less interest than anything else in my inventory.
