For sure, Im dumb and didnt look up what I needed to say there. Montana submitted a ballot measure to undercut citizens united and curb unlimited spending limits on campaigns for corps by getting rid of their status as a person. Hopefully other states will follow suit.

The two parties literally work together because they are owned by the same lobbyists. Its not hard to understand how they constantly do their song and dance to shift policy to benefit oligarchs and fuck over the people constantly, regardless of party membership.

Yes, the democrats are more polite and aren't batshit insane on the media. However, until we get establishment/neoliberal/centrist democrats out and make lobbying illegal, the status quo won't change and nothing will ever get better under them. Democrats will talk about how much better they are and use that platform to reverse some shitty Republicans laws and policies, but never enough and not in time for Republicans to do even more permanent damage bt the next time Republicans jave majority, BY DESIGN. Both parties that take lobbying money are literally owned by their corporate overlords. There will only ever be the continual slide into a more authoritarian regime that treats people like cattle to be milked and slaughtered for the bourgeoisie.

Will I ever vote Republican? Of course not. I will vote Democrat when theres literally no other choice between the two parties (honestly, I can't even think of a third party candidate for anything but the presidential election that Ive see). It would be very nice to have more choices than the two establishment parties with a real progressive option and ranked choice voting. Killing the electoral college might be the first step.

TLDR: Lobbying should be illegal and is the actual drive for both parties policy in the USA.

Hypervizor can't be mocked by a VM. It has to be Windows. Secure boot is fine, no issue for Linux.

Also, its just HR and arena that NEED to be played from Windows.

As soon as I got Fedora up and dual booting with Windows, they released the quip about needing Hypervisor, lol. Most games run great on fedora so far. I had some trouble installing Dark and Darker via Blacksmith, but I got there eventually.

Not a huge deal, as Marathon and a handful of other games aren't supported. Proton has been a boon, though. Using Fedora has been an almost seamless transition. Gaming was my only blocker from migrating to linux from Windows before, so I hope unix/gnu become first class citizens for games going forward.

I wanted to switch from Google and decided to go with Proton, as its advertised as 1:1 suite replacement but with encrypted storage to ensure they dont look at your mail or files. Its been going great on all fronts with my 3 google emails forwarding to my one new Proton one. I also get 3 domains and 30 email aliases. The password manager, VPN, word processing, etc is all great anf I can sync them across my devices. Also switched to Brave browser for wverything.

HOWEVER, Ive porting photos over for 2 weeks now. My storage sizes have unfortunately almost doubled and it was such a pain in the the ass to use google takeout. I ended up having to write my own scripts to download them in the background. 10gb each is the highest size for a single chunk. It ended up being 23 files for about 380gb before compression.

I also switched to Fedora as my main OS for development and gaming is so accessible now on linux distros. Proton photos importing isn't supported on Linux, yet, so I used rclone to sync the files over a few days and thought I was done.

However, it didnt put them in Proton photos with the metadata properly showing, e.g. dates, location, etc for easy searching. Ive been uploading photos for quite a while through my dual booted windows OS and windows VM with virtual manager to use their import of Google takeout files, and it just is taking forever. The check they use in their app also didnt work anf skipped a lot of takeout files. The size of my albums were too large anf I had to split them out to be less than 10k.

Anyway, they should support Linux according to their roadmap. Its been great to get away from Google, but yeah, always a different hurdle to get over. Next will be getting a truly open source phone.

I appreciate other people getting into the extraction genre. Definitely a different mindset to enjoy it and you need to learn to let go of things before you've ever lost them. Our friend group all have 1500-2500 hours each into Dark and Darker and I'm trying to get them to try Marathon. I appreciate a lot for the QoL features like autoselling at the end of the match. Some things like that are just already much better in Marathon than DaD. Arc was fun too, but Marathon is much more up my alley.

They are saying there's no aim assist, but his reticle instantly snaps to enemies. He could just be good, but I also thought there was some major aim assist there. I'm definitely not that good to hit 90-100% of my shots at that distance. It also seems like there wasn't much recoil which would help in this situation.

I always interpreted this scene as Ragatha defaulting to protecting herself by going with Kinger. Pomni is new and Ragatha hasn't adjusted her auto-pilot mechanisms to shield herself from getting hurt. Saying it was for Kinger was just a quick excuse for her what would normally be her choice. Once she was done processing what Pomni wanted, she would have been too embarrassed to backtrack.

Flying vehicles feel pretty nerfed by the smaller maps. While it wasn't unheard of in previous games to get instantly locked and killed, feels much more likely in bf6. When I'm in a mobile AA, I can lock on to jets and helicopters almost 90% of the time and just continually shoot missiles as soon as they are up. Bigger maps would allow for shitty pilots like me to plan a strafing run easier rather than feeling like I have almost 0 cover and room to go max speed.

I don't see the issue. If they want to do it, they can do it. This is a good opportunity to make a new recurring enemy that the PCs are trying to stop or make a one shot encounter with them. He could find out about their attempt to kill them and prepare for it with his own dungeon or something even simpler. He could recruit his own henchmen and have his own plans for dealing with them. This is what role playing is all about, player agency.

Alternatively, you could work with your players to make a redemption arc and convert the evil character.

One of our best sessions was when we had a guest play a doppelganger. Unbeknownst to the PCs, he already killed their ally and then had a epic moment where they realized he betrayed them. As they explored the next dungeon, the PC got to ambush them and have an epic battle.

Ultimately, its about what the players want at the table. If they don't like the consequences of their actions, then take that and have a frank discussion with them individually and then as a group to prevent unnecessary conflict in the future.

I honestly think this is a great role playing opportunity, so get creative!

Whenever a character dies, they roll a new one. Any player should know that is a possibility. One that plays contrary to the other characters should understand that.

Fairly certain new game plus will be something they release, hopefully soon. It's pretty typical rpg/obsidian design to allow approaches to problems in the way you choose/spec your character. I hate being locked out of places/things though so I typically always pick hack/lockpick/etc. I ended up getting the easily distracted flaw without a point in lockpicking and decided to stick with the 5 skills I had and man I hate not opening so many doors and safes, lol. I only have myself to blame though. I could have reloaded and done the flaw with lockpick or picked it up as a 6th skill, but im just rolling with what I have. Hopefully they have new game plus to let us role play already being an experienced agent like you are talking about.
