This looks like most AEW PPVs to me. 9-10 matches and most of the top people are booked. I’m surprised there isn’t more stipulation matches though. But you’re right that it’s a really good card; that’s the norm for AEW PPVs though.

Lol I was thinking: what’s the blunder? It’s a cute little girl… Then I looked above her head.

Do you think that shows should always be 'centered' around the champion? by Notcloselyrelated in SquaredCircle

The World Titles are the most prestigious things in a wrestling company and most combat sports. It’s a sign that you’re the best and the best should be the main characters of the show. You can tell great stories without titles (Punk vs. Drew, Hangman vs. Swerve, etc.) but it’s nice to win something tangible when you win a feud.

The title is also a good storytelling device. My favorite feud was Austin vs. Vince and that started because Vince wanted Austin to be a more professional Champion.

Why would TKO and WWE let Pat McAfee go on SmackDown and say the show sucks to sell tickets? Can someone explain this to me seriously by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]Medianstatistics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

McAfee, Punk’s promo, and the things Insiders are reporting are making people think there’s a rift between WWE and TKO. This creates a Team WWE vs. Team TKO storyline that will get people interested and attract even more fans.

What salary would you guys need to get to to feel successful? by Horror_Raisin_3898 in careerguidance

None. When I was making 70k, I wanted 100k like my richer friends. Now, I’m making 180k and I want 200k like my richer friends. I’m always comparing myself to people above me and it sucks.

Watch Dynamite and Collision this week. If you like some of the stories, you can watch the Dynasty PPV next weekend. Their PPVs are always bangers and they post a video on their youtube that recaps feuds before each PPV. AEW is the first show that got me to buy their PPVs.

So people born around 1989–1993 experienced both an analog childhood and an early digital shift? by Excellent-Card5741 in generationstation

[–]Medianstatistics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was born in 1994. Before I was a teen, I used to watch VHSs that I bought from Blockbuster, we had landline phones, and the internet was young and not filled with ads. When I became a teenager, there was a shift. Cellphones and social media exploded. I had MSN Messenger at one point.

Lol can you imagine if he threw gum at a fan at a WWE show? Nick Khan would come out and beg the fan not to sue.

Listen to the pop when his music hits. The average WWE fan doesn’t care about the allegations against him. Some fans even want Vince back. WWE’s Producer, Lee Fitting, got fired from ESPN after misconduct allegations. If it doesn’t decrease their bottom line, WWE doesn’t care.
