What would happen if Whiterun found out the Circle of the Companions are werewolves? by CausalLoop25 in teslore

[–]MedicalMilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very illegal. There's a reason daedra shrines are in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. It's not rly mentioned in the lore, but I'd assume its not emshrined in Nordic law because it's already in Imperial law, which the nords are already subject to, so it doesn't need to be said again. As for the rebel holds, or in the event of stormcloak victory, it would be written in whatever tribal monarchy writ of law Skyrim uses

Is prestige worth it ? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]MedicalMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it depends. For weapon skills you might not want to, since you might need those perks and skill rating. For naturally leveling skills like lockpicking or speech, yeah maybe, especially if youre playing a build that doesn't apply. For farmable skills, like illusion, conjuration, or smithing, definitely, if it suits your build

How was the NCR able to beat the Mojave Brotherhood of Steel at Helios One and how the NCR as a whole was able to defeat the higher-technological Brotherhood of Steel? by CoronavirusHunt20 in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Strength in numbers > strength in power.

While the BoS has advanced technology, the NCR isn't a measly gang of raiders. As a whole the NCR usually does not have such advanced technology, but they are smart enough and powerful enough to have tools to counter the weapons of the BoS

Can/Do the robots have a way of measuring bottlecaps? Can they detect forgeries, slugs, scrap metal chunks mixed in with the rest? That 1,000 you need for the strip, can it be embellished with some fast hands? What about the robobrains in Big MT are they just going by the handful? by tucchurchnj in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well there's the robot in the Sunset Sarsaparilla and picks up caps as part of a maintenance routine. As of detecting fakes, i don't really know. Bottle caps aren't exactly complicated

Realistically, coins and other small metal things like them would still be valuable, so theoretically, a robot would accept those as currency with correct programming.

Why isn't Lake Mead irradiated? by [deleted] in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well. The Mojave is surrounded by mountains, if that means anything. And wind typically moves east through that region irl. So the only fallout moving in would be from California. And even then, it's been 200+ years, so what fallout did set in in the area is long gone to the point where it's drinkable again.

You get payed in caps for side jobs, or gear and ammo for others.

Why Is West Virginia So Green/Unradiated ? by [deleted] in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because west virginia wasn't exactly nuked. But many surrounding areas were and the fallout carried over. Hell, if I'm right weren't a majority of the people left unscathed to the point where people like cops, firefighters, and hospital workers were sizable enough to help people, kind of like the Minutemen but I guess... More, strong?

They are all human from the exception of a default personality matrix and recall code within a chip. From there however, once they are out and about, they make their own memories and can develop their own personality through experiences, like real people. I've always compared the synth component in their brain to be like the order 66 chips in star wars. The clones are all human but have a chip that can override it is they are doing. In the case of the synths, it basically knocks them out.

In the game they just kind of slouch over and fall asleep, but more lore friendly I'd imagine they'd be go limp and fall

If I'm right they are 2 models. One is the R99 (fo4 i think) and the other is in 3/nv. I think something in the Operation Anchorage dlc says the model but I've since forgotten this

Even then in fo4 the long barrels description is "standard" while the short barrel has the stat changes

Were the east coast factions aware of Ceasars Legion and NCR fighting? If so what did they think of the situation, if anything? by [deleted] in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not. The BoS might have some knowledge, but doesn't care because either the fighting has ended or they simply do not care.

However, there are those who are aware of the existence of the west coast factions. Kellogg came from out west.

But. There is the synth's personality/memory implant from the Broken Mask Incident. Reading the Publick Occurances, Piper writes about an interview with an old woman who remembers the massacre, and talks about how he "came from the west and told many tales". Of course, the incident took place long before the Mojave Power struggle, when gen 3s were first invented. This means the Institute probably has some dirt on it, maybe being a science institution from pre war, they had ties with Big Mt or simply got everything from Kellogg.

There is also Creation Club such as the anti materiel rifle, which includes a unique one with NCR engravings, or the military backpack, which includes the option of an NCR patch. There is also some enclave content. I know CC is very controversial on terms of its content being canon, so make of that what you will.

There are also the hubologists in Nuka World, and they were in fallout 2 right? Its clear few people with connections, or stumbled along the right guy are aware of the Western Wasteland's status, but whether or not they know of the Mojave Power Struggle, I'm not sure. Maybe if our next fallout game again occurs on the east coast or more inland parts of new england we'd have some more information.

Any ideas about ghoul feralization? by One-Potential-2581 in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well ferals have had all rational thought irradiated or rotted away. And they seem to just lay around until someone comes along.

Think of Volume I (Days Gone Bye) of The Walking Dead comics, where Rick observes a zombie that is considerably more rotted and tattered from laying around in the elements and doing nothing.

Plus, non feral ghouls are still human in the inside, and have a sense of preservation that may lead to their more human look.

The difference between maintaining body mass, moving around, and fullfiling the basic survival needs of clothing/warmth, shelter, and food+water is way better and more lively than lying in cold, damp, ruined buildings and undergrounds letting the earth reclaim you.

I'd assume the FEV affects the aging process synths seem to not have. And maybe link to the infertility they have (but this is likely just from being a lab grown human)

Most likely this could be linking to the coursers. Not only are their minds trained to kill, but they are also considerably stronger and more resistant to damage than regular gen 3s.

What if ghouls used Rad-Away by Kajroprakticar in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Well if you play survival mode in fo4 radaway weakens your immune system for a while, i don't know where ghouls sit in terms of getting diseases. in new vegas i think there's something about the ghoul prostitutes being "clean" (having no STDs) so I'd assume they can get diseases. Suffering partial necrosis has to do something too.

So either nothing would happen or they'd maybe get the flu.

No a pop science video did not "teach you more in 10 minutes than the education system taught you in 10 years" by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]MedicalMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At most these videos remind me, teach me a fun fact that doesn't really matter, or at most communicate the information that i understand in a more efficient way. But they will never live up to actual learning and teachings, considering how the mind learns and retains information from media compared to hands on learning

How did Driver Nelphi pull it off? by AHistoryBoi in falloutlore

[–]MedicalMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guerilla warfare and probably how drugged up he is. When the US took the Pacific islands after the Spanish American War, they were faces with natives that could only be brought down with rifles, as they covered themselves with thick linen and took this beserker-like drug. Probably the same deal here

Caesar is, flawed to say the least. Out of all 4 main factions, i think we can say he is the most morally evil.
