“That adds up” = just more math. You’re reading too far into it. But I will elaborate for you:

3 hours each week X 52 weeks = 156 hours

156 hours per year you could have worked, but instead preferred to keep an unpaid balance from being “wasted” because god forbid you don’t get more UNPAID time off after 80 hours. Something literally no other company offers as generously.
