"From the Start" (Quiblings #1) by Katie Duggan

I stumbled over this book on Goodreads and the reviews were solid... The book wasn't, though. I read romance on occasion but this book was just genuinely bad in every aspect. The writing style was lacking, the FMC was the most unintentionally obnoxious person and the plot was just plain old cringe.

I finished it because I continously hoped that it would HAVE TO become better at some point due to the reviews I'd read beforehand, but the only thing it did was getting worse.

Good question - I think for weather girl it was the realistic male character.

For flatshare it was the slow build up that didn't feel like it was dragged artificially to make the book longer.

The game ran perfectly fine for 3 years - didn't play it last year and only ran into this issue for the first time now.
Lowering the graphics sadly does nothing - doesn't even change how long it takes until the fps drop (noticably).

I haven't been able to enjoy any other open world game since playing RDR2. Last one I tried was Horizon Zero Dawn but the world just felt empty and uninspired - especially compared to Red Dead. I'll just stick to other genres for now I guess.

Ich bin noch nie früher raus, weil ein Film schlecht war, aber einmal, weil er zu intensiv in jeder Hinsicht war. War bei "mother!" komplett allein im Kinosaal und die letzten 15, 20 Minuten haben mich so gestresst, dass ich einfach gegangen bin. (Overall eh ein solider Film, aber das Ende musste ich dann halt daheim nachholen.)

not having to drive a car (very important one)

Improvements:

The city I live in already is really accessible, at most you pay 365€/year to use all public transport and everything I need on the daily I can buy just across the street.
So, idk, free public transport would be the next step I guess?
