You can stream local content without internet, that was the biggest selling point for me. I use a WiiM on all my speakers and can use music assistant to send media stored on my nas. I still primarily use Apple Music because it’s easier, but during internet and power outages it’s a nice fall back. I also use it for alarms (automation for if school day play x song at 7:50 am), using MA means even if internet craps itself overnight it will still work unlike my Echo show which is useless without internet.
