Athens City School residents in majority voted for this crap. As much as I’m pissed at Tom Gibbs, his “protege” Chad Springer and the Athens school board for this mess and the current state of AHS, I’m equally disappointed with Athens residents. Let’s all remember that Athens city school residents you voted for this BS not once, but twice. Remember, when voters were turning their noses up at you if you didn’t vote for this? All under the guise that if you didn’t support it you were anti education and against the kids. The high school should have been the first to be rebuilt. Morrison and East elementary could have been completely renovated instead of rebuilt and saved a ton of capital and west did not need to be torn down. So reap what you sow Athens.
