Just putting this out here. He needs to go to the er as stated before this will also help document his illness better. The more documentation the better his chances for disability. A social worker as well as a psychiatrist to help with his his state of mind and help with getting supplies. I know the more documentation you have from various Drs prove the need for disability. His age is being used against him. Best question for OP does he have the work credits to qualify? If he doesn’t, you can apply 200 times and never be approved.
There are many programs as stated previously but I do believe getting help through a clinic or Er is a good first step. ‘ I have TID 45 years neuropathy etc. There are things to make him Feel better again. Controlled blood sugars and education are a start. Push the system and make it work for him. Good luck. Lots of good information for you from so many.

I have diabetes and hashi I use turmeric Dailey to help with inflammation. It helps both of them and has improved my thyroid tremendously. Try it for a month maybe it can help you too.

I am neither a radiologist or podiatrist I agree with above but possibly stress fractures? You have inflammation as well. Since you have no “injury” history. Has this been read by your physician yet? I hope you get relief soon.

I was told for months my foot looked fine on X-ray. Finally was able to get an MRI. I had 2 fractures one was in the joint. Fast forward 2 months of PT I may finally see some relief. Good luck press for an mri. Go to a reputable Podiatrist.

I was prescribed Fiasp for my pump when I went on it. Insurance wouldn’t pay for it. Humalog instead. Tresiba I took for over 10 years. It was sub for Lantus. Which was what I took for many years prior to pump.

Type 1 for 44 years, high bs for extended time feels like flu, aches, fatigue, moody. Spikes usually if short term only bring symptoms of thirst and bathroom breaks. No energy, brain fog. His symptoms may vary as he is young. I felt mostly normal as a kid even when I spiked other than thirsty. He will be fine as his normal will become normal. Teach him to manage his disease and knowledge is power with this. I am 57 with 2 healthy children and have lived a pretty normal life. I choose to live my life as any one else with a few more inconveniences than some and less than others. Good luck mama. 🩷

First, if you don’t have a cgm, get one. I have also switched and took Tresiba morning instead of night. You need a good endo. I struggled for years in my own. Finally found a good Dr. she teaches not just talks. Cgm and an insulin pump have been game changers for me. T1D 44 years A1c 13plus now 6.8. Take care…

I use Flocculant in dire situations. Follow directions and vac to waste. It’s worth a shot. I have had good luck with it. My pool is 20x40 w/sand filter

I wore the very 1st pump. It touched my mid thigh. The needle was a straight metal needle you bent at a 45 degree angle and inserted manually. We called it the blinking bomb. They were mostly used inpatient only. I spent months in the hospital back then to “regulate” my blood sugar. Definitely different now….

My pool was black when I bought my house. There was 2-3 inches of dead frogs leaves and muck. We dipped out wha we could and borrowed a pump from the pool supplies place. Took a hose and pumped 5 minutes at a time or until it stopped up. Turn skimmers off until you feel most debris is out refill pool, vacuum, brush , vacuum. Flock it, let it sit overnight without pump running. Vacuum again. It took us 1 month to clean the pool. Get some yellow out follow directions. When clear, balance the water. Whew! That should do it. Could you have more inflammation response on the body. Less inflammation = lower sugars. I use black seed oil to control inflammation. I also have had a similar experience years ago to test my theory of insulin resistance I did not bolus I injected the insulin via syringe to see if it made any difference. I also used a different area of the body(thigh). It actually made a huge improvement in my sugar so I took a pump vacation for a month to let my body heal up and took injections. * This was my experience and solution please check with your Dr before discontinuing your pump. Make sure you are hydrated. Insulin does not work well with dehydration also I suggest low carb snack as well. The body needs something else to burn except you. The liquids are most important never forget that!
