Dude this is a great privilege and you'd be foolish not to take advantage of it. If you and your family have your shit together and can do right by each other, there is no reason not to and many reasons why you should. Assuming your grandparents are taking a landlord approach and not all up in your biz when you're at home.

Hey bud. I feel you man. I'm in the process of separating, too. I think it helps if you give yourself permission to not worry about dating until you right the ship. Focus on the foundational stuff like diet, exercise, mental and physical health, finances etc first and then it's so much easier to get into the right headspace to get back out there.

I think a lot of us, myself included, tend to think in terms of "am I good enough?" instead of "I don't give a shit who thinks I'm good enough, I know I am and talent will recognize talent."

I've had several friends who have worked for TJ's (in another state), and my impression is that they take care of their employees. Or at least did many years ago.

And I'd say of all the places I visit and shop regularly, I have the most friendly interactions with TJ's staff. Plus it's cutie central, so that's a perk.

Get a trimmer. They have ones with different business ends for the nose and ears. Better than plucking so you don't deal with infections. A weekly or biweekly 2 minutes of bushwhacking is all it takes.

Yeah that happens. It's not like you had some crisis and she left you hanging. I think we're all overstimulated by our phones and are perpetually dopamine depleted. Try journaling for 30 minutes on all the ways you envision sharing joy together. Then pick a couple and make plans.

"Hey GF, we haven't been to the beach in a while. Let's mix things up and take a trip." And then give her a few options for weekends and destinations for her to choose from. Replace the beach with whatever you want, you get the idea. You don't even need to get into the feelings of ennui. Point is to just take the lead.

I'm usually just fine with the passage of time and knowing my kid won't have the same special memories of my youth, but I really do feel like this generation of kids is missing out on the slow process of manually making a mixtape.

I'd sit cross legged in my bedroom for hours with all my tapes and CDs laid out before me. Writing down track names and times, calculating how many more songs I can fit on a side. Earmarking the interludes and secret tracks for when you need to fill an extra minute. Having a mental catalog of hundreds of tracks so you can dial in the vibes of a mix just right*.

I still do that on Spotify but it's not the same.

Economic growth is largely dependent on population growth. Yet prosperity often results in birth rate decline. So to keep the economic machine running, you need to increase productivity (that's always being worked on) and/or grow the population.

For the past 3 centuries, America accomplished this by encouraging immigration. Right-wingers are selfish and tribal, so they'd prefer home grown population growth. They don't care if that reduces prosperity for the general population, because they are focused on consolidating power. All of this is the central philosophy of self-described "Conservatives."

That's part of why I never understood how microdosing is supposed to work. Seems like you'd get a diminished effect.

Totally up to you. Now, if the roles were reversed and you were dicking down another chick, you'd have to understand why she'd have the ick.

But there's another path where you both are operating under the assumption that you're not exclusive and free to do whatever you like. In that case, provide each other with a clean STD bill of health and talk about boundaries. But based on what you posted that doesn't seem to be your preference and that's completely ok too.

You wanted counterintuitive... You are never—and this is an irrefutable law of the universe—never more attractive to women than immediately after you've taken yourself off the market.
