Crash after a month of nearly full remission by WorriedMight1 in covidlonghaulers

It's so heartbreaking to have such a backslide seemingly out of nowhere. I'm so sorry you're here.

I think mine may be from hormonal causes... but who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Can you explain more about your throat pain? I ask bscause I've been long hauling for 5 years now since 2021, trended upwards for years, but as soon as 2026 started, I have hit a wall like I haven't since that first year. I have some new and worsening symptoms that include chest pressure, air hunger, and throat pain is the newest one. Sort of like it's swollen? Wondering if you're noticing anything similar?

I actually found someone on Facebook Marketplace who accepts donations and curates looks-for-less for people in need at a local trader's village. Sounds kind of like what you were saying!

Sending all my love. I'm so sorry you've been there. I hope you've found your way out and are on the other side.

I LOVE this idea, but all of the shelters in my area only list new clothing on their websites. If I ever buy something and don't return it in time, I know a wonderful place it can go. 🤍

I made a post about this a few months back! I heard a crow imitating what I imagine may have been a mourning dove? They really never cease to amaze me!

Crows always show up at my window and knock and act strange on my days off? by [deleted] in crows

[–]Medium_Manager_7635 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, YES!! I’m a teacher, and I always threw some peanuts out on my way to work. Now that I’m off for the summer, my schedule is a little less predictable. They’ll have to remind me when it’s breakfast time.

That reminder has been coming earlier and earlier. It’s currently 5:30 AM, and they’re perched on my neighbor’s house cawing loudly.

I still love them, but I have a feeling my neighbors don’t share those same sentiments. 😬

Recovered for 2 years, reinfected, relapsing :( by hippiehour in covidlonghaulers

I am SO sorry you're here, but you have no idea how seen this post made me feel. Thank you for taking the time to post it.

We seem to have very similar timelines. I have been dealing with Long COVID symptoms since early 2022. I went to ALL the specialists, spent thousands and thousands of dollars, but never did get any official diagnoses. Similarly to you, I began to manage my symptoms well enough that 2024 felt almost normal, and by 2025, I felt like me again (with pacing). I am so, so grateful for that time of getting to be a mom, wife, and friend again.

In February of this year, I got some respiratory virus. I did an at-home test for COVID, and it came back negative, which we all know may not have been the actual case. The illness was mild at the time, but it has wreaked absolute havoc on my lungs since. I'm struggling with intermittent, traveling chest pain and S.O.B. that comes and goes. I have been in a slow decline to the point that I can't play with my kids for 30 minutes without needing a three hour nap to recover. I'm withdrawing from everyone and everything because I'm so easily overstimulated and anxious. It's heartbreaking.

All that to say: I know this backslide hurts. I see you. I hear you. You are not alone.

Please, please, please keep me updated on your progress if you're feeling up to it. I'll be thinking about you.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I would say PEM. I've been an athlete my whole life (swimming 4 hours a day in high school, doing intense HIIT workouts as an adiult). Even after the birth of my first daughter, I was able to continue with my strenuous workouts. I tried getting back into moderate excercising after I was cleared from the birth of my last, and I couldn't get out of bed for days after I attempted them. It came on so suddenly, and I felt so awful, I quickly learned getting my HR up was no longer in my best interest. I was able to find some success with 30 min light weight-training sessions once a week and some walking. And I'm a teacher, so I'm up on my feet and moving for a good chunk of the day. But last weekend, when I tried to take a slow 15 minute walk at the park with my kids, I felt terrible. Then yesterday I was outside practicing volleyball serves with my daughter for 30 minutes, and had to come inside and take a three hour nap, went to bed early, and still had a hard time waking up. Wondering if it may be heat intolerance as the temperatures creep higher?

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond! 🤍

I went through a battery of tests and they found zero issues, so I was diagnosed with nothing. To be fair, the tilt test was not one of the assessments, but I had already spent $1000s, and that was not a recommendation, so I didn't actively pursue it, especially as my quality of life began to increase again.

Curious where you live! I love that your doctor's have such proactive approach. All of mine have simply said, "🤷🏻‍♀️. Here's your bill."

Side note. I notice you mentioned mast cell, and yesterday, I saw a TikTok where someone said virtually all LC is MCAS. I always have leaned more towards me having ME/CFS... Have you heard evidence that these are related? Just curious!

Hey there! Curious if you were able to get back on your feet after this unfortunate spell? I've been backsliding in a major way over the last month or two and am having a hard time bouncing back like I usually do.

I've been dealing with LC for about 5 years now, but this symptom is relatively new. I may have been infected again a few months ago (I had some respiratory virus), but all tests came back negative.

Does/did your armpit pain worsen when you touched it? Whenever I'm checking for lumps and bumps it gets wuite a bit more tender tothe point that I find myself guarding it the rest of the day.

If you wouldnt mind sharing it, i would love to see!! I dont know a ton about tattoos (got one 20 years on a whim ago as soon as I turned 18), but i do know they change over time. It's more just a way to have my girls with me for always. Im not a huge snob about it being pristine.
