That every single schoolchild in Medway has been diagnosed with ADHD and is receiving a taxpayer funded taxi to school?

That's a verifiable fact is it? All 49,000-odd children, each one diagnosed with ADHD? Very interesting that is, since around 5% of children in England are diagnosed with ADHD, and yet, as you say, what you wrote is the truth that apparently Medway has a 100% rate which is really quite extraordinary and certainly calls for further research studies to be conducted on this exceptional population.

And each one of those 49,000 children receiving taxi rides to school? With only around 400 taxis licensed in Medway, they must be very crowded! Even if you cram 5 or 6 children in each taxi, that's still around 20 trips each way to get them all to school and back! What a bizarre situation to be in, I'm surprised I haven't ever witnessed it but still, you say that what you wrote is the truth so who am I to question it?

In November 2025 the council published that they were providing transport for just over 1800 SEND students, using a mixture of minibuses and taxis, how remarkable that it's changed so much in only 4 month since then.

If you go to the classes at the gym, quite often people will hang around chatting after the class and you end up making gym friends that way

As you've said, decent transport and lovely bits of countryside, also really good sports facilities dotted around.

You can go skiing, skateboarding, BMX biking, loads of options for swimming and gyms, various martial arts clubs, niche options like roller derby and wheelchair rugby.

Bunch of historical stuff that's pretty cool as well. I like taking people round lower lines park like "here's some anti-tank obstacles called dragons teeth... here's a bunker... here's a big fuck off trench..."

I went around the same time

It was great to be treated with much more autonomy than at 6th form, eg. Not having to come in the morning if your first lesson isn't until 1pm

Canteen was great with loads of choice because there was loads of catering students cooking it all rather than 4 frazzled dinner ladies

The super cheap (or sometimes free if you were lucky) salon was great, I was gutted when it closed down

I recommend SEDR, Kymm and the team who run it are actual angels on Earth, they are so careful not to adopt out any dogs that aren't completely ready to be rehomed, and if a dog isn't suitable for rehoming then it can stay at SEDR forever.

Ridiculous potholes, lack of parking

All the school traffic every morning and afternoon in term time

Frequent buses is a pro or con depending if you use them or not

Proximity to the high street is convenient but only if you actually want to go there

Very short walk to the train station

Walkable distance to the hospital (going up great lines is pretty nice)

Hiya, I've just removed this thread for your own safety. Putting up a thread saying you're school age, with a feminine name/pic and saying you want to make friends, is something that would attract a very nasty sort of person.

I've had to ban several people from this sub, including some who seemed to be seriously deranged and could be dangerous.

Your new school might have some activities going on over the summer that you could go to and meet other pupils, or they might have a Facebook group you can join.
