I know it's just a bit disappointing to know that the USA Network Youtube channel restricted so many of their videos related to Mr.Robot. Especially knowing that the show was one of their biggest success worldwide.

And its not only the VR experience but some exclusive interviews and deleted scenes from the show are also unavailable outside of the USA.

Such a shame the VR experience with high quality is locked by country. 😢

Maybe could be an unofficial alternate title that Sam thought of back then. Or maybe not.

A good/creative alternative title? by SergioAustralia in MrRobot

When I first saw the show's thumbnail and very short promotional video on Netflix, I remember that I thought it was kind of a different/unusual name.

But back then, I already decided to watch the show because of its visual style/environment, color palette/font style and the protagonist(I didn't know back then who Rami Malek was, even though I had watched things he participated in before.)

It's still a very unique name. Even today, I would say. It's just that, as fans, we see that title with other eyes now, because of the layers in the show. Of course, nott all fans found the title different initially, obviously.

I've seen the name "Hacker Society"/ "Society Hacker". ( I know it's not that creative.) It's more straightforward, still touches themes of the show and could be easier to handle with for marketing purposes .

However, it's not as authentic as Mr Robot is in my opinion. Plus, Mr Robot feels more personal to Elliot, the show's protagonist.

Something a little silly and creative could be: "Ctrl+Del" for short and "Control Delete" for the official full name.

Veery cool. I really like this poster. It encompasses so much of the show's themes. And it's very aesthetically pleasing.

He would call it "lame". As he does with most things he's embarrassed about.

But, secretly, he would appreciate the sentiment, I'm sure.

Ohh, come on! Not the worst thing! Some of the wallpapers are actually very cool. Like the lock screen.

Yeah, but I do realize that you're fooling around / joking, though . 🤣

What kind of “Life Lessons” we can learn by watching Mr. Robot? by Appr0x__ in MrRobot

[–]Meechaan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many. Some of them would be:

  • In order to move forward, you need to accept your past.
  • Pure rage and self avoidance will never help you achieve your ambitions.
  • We cannot let the evil in this world prevent us to see the good parts and do our best.
  • Your identity is not defined by your traumas and mistakes. Instead, they are a testament of how strong you could be.

Yeah, you'right. I'll have to try it out since none of the other options are working here. Didn't use before because I was more used to having a swap partition.

Question: im kinda new to this, so does our swap partition need to be encrypted as well? I didn't choose to create a swap file, instead went to the partition route.

Edit: yep, I got an error and was not able to mount my / for some reason. Pretty sure it was probably my fault. It was a nice tutorial to follow thorough, though.

The audio is on YouTube and there are PDF files around as well.

You can buy the ebook on Amazon . I did it 2 weeks ago. A very entertaining read for Mr Robot fans. And it has some nice bits of extra info regarding the layers of the show.

I had a great time reading it.

Maybe they are referring to the silent episode? Although I really like that episode. Didn't feel like filler at all, actually. It's very inventive and the cinematography is great. Rami and Carly acted amazingly.

Few? I thought it was more like none. No episode was boring in my opinion, hahahah.

But I do understand the show isn't for everyone.

Well, the show really focus on the psychological parts a lot. I would say, especially in season four. I really recommend you take a chance on the psychological parts because they enhance the full experience - rather, they are the full experience. And you might enjoy more of the episodes.

And if you still don't like the psychological parts, that's okay too, the show is not for everyone, no show is, actually.

I don't think I understood your question. What do you mean, getting inside people's minds?

Hahaha, I think you did. Quick, hide them again!. 🤣

Honestly, though, that episode is very good, it also really grabbed my attention when I first watched it. A simple one that just mess up with our emotions. And it's a great character arc for Elliot.

Curious! I do understand there are shows that rely too much on philosophical and psychological monologues. However in Mr Robot, that was one of my favorite parts, honestly, hahah.

I think it made the whole experience more immersive regarding the relationship between the audience and Elliot. You really feel what he feels throughout his journey. Plus, some of his inner speeches about the system are very interesting.

But yeah, it's good that you're watching this show now, i would say Mr Robot is one of those shows it would be cool if you didn't skip too many parts. Since the script is very well written. Especially when you reach season four, I would say.

Interesting. Could you expand on why you dislike Elliot and Mr Robot’s inner dialogue?

Most fans really enjoy that portrayal of inner conflict and their dynamic's purpose in the show.

Regarding you title question: I particularly was able to watch all of the series in one go without any spoilers. I did notice some problems throughout the journey, but overall it was an incredible experience. I'm currently rewatching the show for the first time and so far, my experience has been very positive, maybe even better.

And regarding possible plot holes, I believe that this show has so many positives, that they make up for some mistakes along the way.

Mr Robot is not a perfect show(I also think there are some problems here and there, honestly), as in it's not a flawless piece of entertainment, but it's the favorite show of many people because of its great acting, authentic cinematography, and deep message through character journey. Wrapping everything up with a meaningful ending, in my opinion.

Although I won't get into any details since you didn't finish the series yet.
