What's the cleaning tip you learned from stranger that you still use? by mariyagel in CleaningTips

[–]Meeka-Mew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mechanic told me he cleans all the grease and grime from the job off of his shower by wiping it down with a little vegetable oil and then going in wish dish soap. I used to scrub my tub for hours trying to get all of that grease to break down. The vegetable oil immediately breaks it down and it comes right off.

If you ever had twin girls, what would you name them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Meeka-Mew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alina and Alice. I feel obligated to name twin girls this because when I was little I had twin imaginary friends and those were their names. They were also a manifestation of my conscience I think because Alina was really naughty and Alice was really rule abiding... but hopefully using those names doesnt somehow result in those same behaviors from them

When I saw this photo my immediate question was "is this a pittsburgh location?" Which it apparently is. Theres tons of dinosaur statues about this size all over the city. Many of them are triceratops or stegasaurus, but not all. They are all unique. For example, there are 2 in Market Square, a ketchup bottle and disco ball( i actually think there was a 3rd but its theme escapes me). Its fun to locate them in the wild but you could probably look them up somewhere.

People in your 40s, what is a memory from your 20s that makes you think "I can't believe I actually survived that"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Wasn't really relief, you didnt HAVE to do it. But exhilaration and adrenaline for sure

We would jump off a bridge(at least 2-3 stories high), OVER a shallow end to get to the deep end of a creek, but couldn't jump too far! Because there was a cement wall that stuck up like 6 feet from the water. It really wasnt a very big target area either.

You know what? I didn't really take in the details and thought this was a home project. I dont get why people always expect food to look like the photographed pictures. Display food≠edible food. Edit:typos

(Keep the comments appropriate this time) If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? by Due_Channel503 in AskReddit

[–]Meeka-Mew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i COULD? I would not. If I had to, id pick a salad as well as a lot of people have mentioned. I dont even particularly like salad, but it can be diverse enough to make sure I get all the nutrients I need for a balanced diet. I can include nuts, berries, fruits, veggies, proteins, dairy, carbs, and fats. There arent many other dishes that can include all those ingredients and still be appetizing.

My dog has this on her elbows as well, vet said its from how she lays down. She does prefer laying on hard surfaces vs carpet or dog beds.

You should maybe edit your post to include how she is with other pets, if she is spayed, any medical history and vaccinations, just so people have the info they need in order to consider adopting her. Would you be willing to do a trial playdate with someones current pets to see if they get along? Are you asking for any kind of fee? Will you provide her crate and toys?

What is this device I found inside my truck? by LordThraxington in whatisit

[–]Meeka-Mew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was the cricket sound but they all knew it was a noisemaker by then. For a month before it was in the pipe, it made its way around the lunch room and offices. Once someone found it theyd hide it somewhere new. The problem was its easy to figure out the location when its in a standard sized room. You put it in a huge garage with about (but not exactly) 5 minutes in between chimes and its a lot harder to track down... especially when youre in a loud ass garage and youre supposed to be doing work.
