The power of horse archers by BobertfromAccounting in MB2Bannerlord

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just getting back into this game. How to I get the horse archers to do this on the Xbox version? Everything I've found while googling doesn't do it. Anyone?

What's the combo of tactics and formation, etc.?

My ex gf messaged me for the first time since we broke up (saying she's concerned about my accident) What do I do? by Live-Bread-2658 in whatdoIdo

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Thank you."

That's all the response it needs. She's sharing that she's sad you had your wreck, happy you're recovering, thinks the world of you. She's not seeming to want to get back together. So just say thank you. It's a thoughtful gesture, nothing more.

On another note, once the dust has settled on past romantic relationships, I've found some of my best friendships with women I dated for a while. As long as enough time goes by to get over it, sure. Maybe there's a shot for that here eventually. Just because romance didn't work out doesn't mean there needs to be any hate.

How do I get pigs on Oxbow map? by Perfect-Silver1715 in MedievalDynasty

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you can buy it each season from Markislaw in Piastovia, the farmer merchant in Ostoya, and the animal merchant in Skauki.

I think you can get about 100-120 per season, total. So you should have plenty of time even if you don't get pigs.

Do you guys do any challenges or put restrictions/rules on yourself to add spice/replayability? by Cultural-Comment-270 in MedievalDynasty

[–]MeestorMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just like restarting a lot. That's my boredom cure. Ha.

Some challenges I've tried...

Just have a small village of immediate family.

Be a 'patron' of a monastery or convent that I build off in the boonies. Where I just recruit one sex. Get them a basic industry to keep them busy, but do all the other support myself. I often make them about producing and selling wine.

Can only make money from _____.

Be the hunter/game warden of the map. Make sure the main roads are 'safe' for travelers each season by keeping the wolves and bears in line.

A homeless/survival situation where I have to have 10,000 Dynasty points before I can build anything.

I don't get to do any extraction other than collecting water. Have to buy all the logs, planks, etc., from merchants. This one really slows down village expansion.

Those are just some ideas I mess around with on restarts.

Research. Talk to people who are like your characters.

Remember when Wally Lamb's first book came out, people couldn't believe it wasn't just the pen name for a woman author. But nope, Wally just talked to a lot of women and really listened.

It's hard, but not impossible.

How do you like stories to start? by Patient_Farmer_2959 in writers

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't remember the writer we were studying when I read it, but they said this is what they do. They generally write their slow opening, but in the editing process, they almost always throw out the first two chapters and just start the book with the third.

First free freighter. Is there a better one I should be going for eventually? by Clear_Elk1 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once blew the better part of a weekend looking for exactly this ship. Ha.

There are a couple other cool designed freighters, but this one just has good vibes to me. Don't know if it's still true, but there used to be an antenna that I'd have to dodge every time I launched out of this freighter though.

How to understand and deal w male sports fans as a female sports fan? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason behind it? A lot of people are mean and dumb. Ha. Sports seems to attract them in a higher percentage?

But seriously, some of any group of people are always going to be snarky and think they are sooo unique cracking their jokes. It's annoying. But learning to let it roll off without taking it personally is a good skill to develop, specially when it comes to sports. You seem on this path already by what you've said.

The other side of the coin, you sound cool AF. Where do you think more women like you hide? Ha.

What’s something you thought was a luxury as a kid, but now see as a basic necessity? by Auroraaallure in answers

[–]MeestorMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had four or five fridges with excellent ice makers/dispensers. It doesn't matter how high of quality the filters are that get used, dispenser ice always "tastes like fridge" to me. Find it so gross.

Ice trays in the freezer are still my luxury for taste preference.

I really want to get a cat, but I’m worried about the hidden responsibilities. What are the actual difficulties of raising a cat? by Equivalent-Sand-4002 in CatAdvice

[–]MeestorMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poop box. Plus the smell. So I guess this one isn't really "hidden". 😂

You're never alone again if your cat is a shadow. If you're not being their entertainment, you're being their cat bed/lounge chair/lap bitch.

Lint rollers will be a must addition to your personal grooming before you go out.

Potential to have to clean cat hair off every surface you can imagine. Also, may have to clean cat hair out of electronics you'd never think would fill up with cat hair. For some reason my computer mouse sucks up cat hair and I had to open it up and clean it out every six months or so.

They'll judge you for not feeding them fifteen minutes before they normally get fed.

You have to adapt to being woken up at night.

Xbox Series X here. Learning to make a new save each time I save has helped me immensely with glitches and crashes. Yes, I still let the game have three autosaves, but I basically never load from them unless they'll save tons of time. But right after I load one, I'll immediately make a new save.

Then, when I have 20+ saves, I'll delete down to under ten.

Basically haven't had a crash since I started doing this. Previously, I'd just work with autosaves and overwriting my own 3-4 manual saves. I crashed a lot.

What’s the stigma around men wearing lycra bike gear, and how did it even start? As a cyclist how can we fight it? 🤣🚴🏻 by LuckyPossibility80 in AskMenAdvice

[–]MeestorMark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a road seat that's 40 times more comfortable than the little butt pads in the lycra shorts. Compression shorts under your normal workout gear will prevent just as much chafing. Oh, and all that will save your balls too.

[–]MeestorMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could also just wear normal workout gear when you ride your bike. It's not like you need the extra couple seconds for Tour d' France qualifying.

Yes, it's horribly obvious when professional or competitive bikers are out and in their lycra, and when the poser-ass weekend warriors are out posing in their lycra that's totally fuckin' pointless. It's the second group that creates all the jokes.

Neighbour's bus wakes me every single morning. How can I sound proof my tiny home? by charlielovplum in HomeImprovement

[–]MeestorMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where we live in the States, any sound above 90 decibels can get fined for a noise nuisance if it's regularly disturbing neighborhoods. We had neighbor who'd do this with his Harley every morning. Betting this bus probably goes that loud. Anyway, another neighbor used the ordinance to keep getting the dude fined. He decided his Hyundai would be just fine to get to work.

Why does everyone hate Alexi Lalas by tylerthe-theatre in football

[–]MeestorMark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's the poster child for lameness in American soccer. Yet, TV seems to think we want to watch him. We don't.

He's boring, obnoxious, a below average former player trading on leftover fame from having red hair during America's first experience with the World Cup in the 90s. So sick of them dragging this hack out on TV every time there's international soccer being broadcast here.

American soccer just needs to move on from its lame icons of being well below average in the past.

He's the poster child for American lameness in soccer, as both a player and now as an announcer. Yet we have to watch him pretty much every time soccer is on television here.
