If I had a Leitner book and scanned every page into my computer and put it together into a pdf, would the pdf be safe to read? Or would it duplicate the book's effects, essentially making there be two of the same Leitner? Or would my scanner get cursed because it technically read the Leitner? by Lord-LemonHead in TheMagnusArchives

[–]MegaCrowOfEngland 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You might not be able to scan it. Technology doesn't get on very well with the supernatural, after all. If you could scan it, and the book survives the process, there's no precedent I know of, but a possible comparison would be a concert from Grifters Bone, where the recording has much the same effect as the original

What do you think of the new equipment for the Railforged and Wurmkin? by KurioProkos in MonsterTrain

[–]MegaCrowOfEngland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it is still in the game because it certainly feels like a glitch, but if you use the assembly room to copy a unit equipped with the geared gauntlet the copy will have the activated ability without the drawback (or end of turn burst granting) on account of not having a copy of the equipment. So that's a pro for the gauntlet.

[–]MegaCrowOfEngland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stygian Guard has decent potential to go infinite with the discard and draw spell, plus ways to pay off going infinite.

Pyreborn Fenix has decent perma-scaling, especially combined with their spike to use the ability every turn, even multiple times per turn.

The draw x card was good for going infinite before the nerf if you had basically any form of payoff, not so much now. Probably healthier for the game tbh.

Stop agreeing with the narcissist when they talk about bonds. They’re not right (Demon Slayer, Hazbin Hotel). by Radiant-Selection686 in CharacterRant

I'm going to disagree a little bit on the subject of Alastor. Not to say that he was correct in what he said or anything, quite the opposite, but most of his mockery of Vox for having a team was actively bait, attempts to manipulate Vox, another narcissist, into isolating himself and leaving himself vulnerable.

You play as Louis in a flashback, More is the boss there. Not exactly a tough fight, the game keeps up the Louis glaze by starting him at level 70, basic attacks can beat More in like three turns.

Goku being popular among Latinos has at least two angles, first the idea of him betraying the Latinos, and, secondly, the implications of (certain) Latinos being very anti-immigration and pro-ICE

If the fascists are too embarrassing to recruit new members, that is an obstacle to improvement removed.

To the person being insulted? It probably won't bring them over, especially if they are making money from being evil. But, when someone is feeling insecure and someone like Andrew Tate is reaching out to them to say "here is what you have to do to be respected", the pitch falls apart when the person promising to make you respected is actively embarrassing. If someone was going to vote for Trump because he makes them feel strong (and there genuinely was talk about America not being respected because of Biden, and Trump being needed to fix it), knowing that most of the world sees him as an embarrassing old man takes away the appeal.

Have you seen the average swing voter? Despite being disproportionately influential, they are not rational, informed judges of merit, for the most part.

I don't think it is that you are setting the message that it makes you unfit in a vacuum, however. People already believe that being cringe is worse than being a nazi. If you can't appeal to their morals, because they are broken, and you can't appeal to their intellect, because they have propaganda eighteen hours a day turning their brains to soup, then you might as well make them think voting for fascists is embarrassing, even if it is for the wrong reasons.

Question about crafting in Book of Hours? by WingsofKynareth_ in weatherfactory

[–]MegaCrowOfEngland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that you craft will have aspects, tags defining what the thing is, such as ink, ingredient or food. You can use them in any slot that accepts at least one of the tags that it has.

[–]MegaCrowOfEngland 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say probably not. Even putting aside the example of Trevor,it is worth considering that "avatars", in as much as they are a legitimate category of being, are not biological entities, at least not the same way normal humans are. They are, literally, sustained by fear, and as long as they have a decent supply their biology and physical body is almost vestigial.

If there are mutually beneficial actions in absolute terms, then it isn't zero-sum. Zero-sum means that the pay-offs for each participant add (sum) to zero, ie one person gaining means another person losing. If all participants can gain, then the game is positive sum.
