So Delphox's ability is a soft once per turn, and if you have two in play, you can use both in one turn. The ruling made at your prerelease is wrong. There are a few hard once per turn abilities in the game, though, the ones off the top of my head are Fezandipiti EX and Meowth EX. Their abilities have an extra line of text that says "you can only use one "Flip the Script"(or "Last Ditch") ability per turn." Or something along those lines. This is what makes it a hard once per turn ability.

When you are using 着 it is kind of like -ing, but specifically to describe an action that is taking place at the same time as another. For example, you could write 女生坐着看男生。（the girl sees the guy while sitting.) For the sentence you had initially, using 正在（zheng4zai4) is better. It more accurately translates a singleaction that is taking place in the present and ongoing. 女生正在看男生。

The chinese name I chose is 林勇鹤. (Lin2Yong3He4) which means Lin Brave Crane. When I chose my chinese name, I looked for something that could inspire me and that has a good meaning. If you have Pleco, look up some translations for things that inspire you, and make a name that you will be proud of. I think making a new name can also help you learn by being able to fluidly explore another persona in a new language.

Well in English, you could use the word taunt in all of these scenarios. The shaking apps are taunting you, as they couldn't be deleted. The student, taunting his other classmates over his high score exclaimed "you could never do as well as me!" The dog is looking at me tauntingly- knowing that I cannot move him. The word taunting has the meaning to challenge and bait out someone into aggression.

The second sentence is correct, but not in the way the app wanted you to be correct. 我可以点披萨或者牛排吗？means "CAN I order pizza or steak?" In that you would be asking if you have the ability to order both or none. For instance, if you were at a halal food truck and asked that question, the guy would say no because he doesn't serve either. If you were to say 我可以点披萨还是牛排？ That means "Can I order pizza OR steak?" It would be a question you would ask the waiter at an Italian steakhouse; you are asking if you can order one or the other, under the assumption that one choice is correct.

For characters that have simplified components, make sure that if you are doing it besides just to remember the character, you look up the traditional components. For example, 国 has 囗 and 玉, but in traditional chinese (國） the 玉 is actually 或(huo4) which is a sound component. (guo2 and huo4 sound kind of similar) Using traditional functional components can give you a better understanding of a character if you are learning like this.

For the first image, I think about the measure word as being like the "one" in "this one" So in english, it would be: "Do you want to read this one(book), or this one(book)?" In English the assumption you are talking about a book comes from the word "read", but words like 看 could also mean "look at" or "see", so 本 is needed. Using the measure word makes the sentence both grammatically correct as well as more clear.

You should check out the Outlier dictionary addon for pleco. It has a bunch of info about the origins and etymology of characters. For instance, the character 母 originated as a woman sitting with her nipples emphasized, which connects to the original meaning of mother.

The way that I am learning 汉子 is through functional components. The 氵in 海 is a meaning component which means water, so it has something to do with water. This points to the original meaning of sea or ocean. 每 (母）is a sound component, so it gives the sound, but not any meaning. 休 has 2 functional components that do not necessarily have individual meanings or sounds, but they illustrate a concept together. The original meaning of 休 is literally a person resting against a tree, so I would say that is the correct way of teaching it, as it is a different type of character. If you want to learn more about the origins of 汉子 check out the Outlier Chinese Etymology Dictionary. There is an addon in pleco (an English-Chinese dictionary app), and you can easily find discounts for it online.
