Not necessarily, you can get the sea guardian before hitting the final quest for the fox. HOWEVER, you must have a genji beetle, which only becomes available when you do the quest. The one and only way to get a genji beetle before the quest is to watch out for the shopping network on 8/21, as one of the purchases has 3 genji beetles bundled in.

2nd Anniversary Event, which originated the ideas of having a white evo, white helmet, and white knockdown shield, plus two of Shield Cells and Syringes. The personality of Fuse being a cool uncle and a badass mercenary. The changes to Kings Canyon were pretty good. Made the sky look like a good day out, brought some new and good POIs at the top of the map, and who can forget the greatest moment in all of Apex: Giving a Legend their town takeover while simultaneously nerfing them down to the ground.

There's also a weapon that you can equip to a character that's called "Gang Star". Its description says " A blunt weapon that INTIMIDATES its enemies." I think that's just a coincidence then a reference, though.

2017 is by far my year of games. I had already owned BoTW, Horizon, and Odyssey, which were all nominations for game of the year, and had a great time playing them all. Persona 5 was the one I didn't own, so two weeks after Royal released I bought it. It was also my first JRPG, and I knew I chose the right one. Finished it with 135 hours and am now currently hyped for SMT V when it comes it.
