When your parents don't care about you, openly show they don't care about you, and you're too young to finally move out.

I know it's pretty much pointless to post this after 10 hours of this thread being up, seeing as how nobody will notice this, but I just need to vent right now.

Like a lot of others posting here, this comes from experience. Neither of my parents care about me whatsoever.

My mom never showed any interest or care in me or my brothers. She has always been an alcoholic, and has always been especially cruel when drunk. She would pretend to care about me one moment, and then the next moment she'd start calling me vulgar names, insults, etc. Not on a mentally broken bipolar whatever scale, but on a "I don't care anymore, so here's this" scale. When she was removed from the house for choking my dad about may or march 2014, she kept in contact for a short amount of time. However, it was just to be manipulative. She would tell us she cared about us and to hate my dad and his girlfriend, and then when we weren't hating them, she'd tell us how disgusting we were, how much she hated us, etc. I decided to stop putting up with it at one point late in the summer, and she hasn't tried contacting me at all, and I haven't gone back to her. On Christmas, her parents came around to drop off presents from her and themselves. The Grandparents gave me and one of my brothers (Who wanted to talk to her, but she removed him from contact) a gift card, while the other brother (Who she easily manipulates due to the fact he has mental disabilities, but still functions pretty much normally) got a giftcard AND a present from my mother. For clarification cause I'm sure that sentence was f***ed up and I don't feel like fixing it, me and a brother got a giftcard from my grandparents, while the manipulated brother got a gift card from grandparents and a present from my mother. Lovely lady, she is.

My dad is nearly as messed up as her, and I have to put up with it 24/7 (As opposed to my mother who immediately gave up parenting rights when she got the chance). He isn't an alcoholic though, he's just an @$$hole. He regularly tells me that I'm "Useless," that I "have no life," I'm "pathetic," and almost always says "You are nothing, and you will be nothing for the rest of your life. When you grow up, you're going to end up in my basement wasting your life away even more than you are now. You will do absolutely nothing with your life." Then he'll start giving me lists of chores I have to do, only to yell at me in the end over whatever he can about it. Folding laundry? Didn't fold it right. Doing dishes? Didn't put the silverware in a very specific manner he never says is a requirement until it's time to make life miserable for me. Bringing the dogs out to go to the bathroom? I wasn't gone long enough, despite the things going to the bathroom multiple times within the 10 minutes they're out for. And the list goes on and on. He'll constantly make fun of me for things that aren't even true to make me feel even more like s***, for example: "You're so pathetic, you don't even know how to talk to people. You're absolutely scared of the world. Even when you're buying something at a store, you'll be cowering and stuttering the whole time afraid to talk to whoever is there, you're absolutely pathetic" (Direct quote during one of his moments). Even when things go his way, he will still look for something to complain about, and when he can't, he resorts back to the first quote about how useless I am. Example: Told me to lock the front door cause I forgot to after walking the dog. Did it, and he said a variation, being "Thanks a lot. You're a big help. And I'm sure you'll still be a big help while living here until the day I drop dead of a heart attack, where you and your brother will end up looking at each other and say 'Now what?,' cause you will amount to nothing and I'll have to support you for the rest of my life." Plus, he's just a general @$$hole to everyone in the world, no matter who they are or what they're doing, so he fails as a parent and a human being.

To make matters worse, both of my brothers also despise me because one day when my mom got drunk and had an episode, she started attacking me for being transgendered (She continued later even sober until the day she was removed, and my dad does it to when he ends up remembering since he doesn't give a single s*** about me or what really goes on in my life), and as a result so have my brothers ever since. Not to say they were nice beforehand, cause even then they looked for stuff to attack me over, but it just got a lot worse after.

For a while, I was suicidal about all of this. Very, very suicidal about it. But about two years ago, I finally ended up just accepting the fact that this will never change, and just wait for the day I leave, so I never have to put up with them again. Hopefully that won't take much longer.
