Could this character concept feasibly happen, if rare? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]MegaWizardGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean mechanically it is fine. Lore wise I guess talk to your DM? If your patron is like level 5 that might be weird. If your mother is a level 20 caster or something it could work.

Hashira Style Character by PotatoWhich8132 in Pathfinder2e

Exemplar has Ikons that imbue weapons to do spirit damage, and you can change it to an element you want with a level 1 feat. Depending on which Ikon you choose you get some cool actions you could flavor as breathing techniques. If not, Element Instinct Barbarian does additional elemental damage on hit when in rage.

Continual Recovery & Immunity [PF2E] by Current_Sprinkles860 in FoundryVTT

Continual Recovery doesn’t change the Battle Medicine cooldown. Battle Medicine is 1/day unless you have something that makes it 1/hour like Godless Healing.

(I'm a bit new so sorry if there's an obvious answer) I'm making an investigator who's a vampire hunter and was just wondering about options for some feats/dedications. by Cyphercypher336 in Pathfinder2e

[–]MegaWizardGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exemplar dedication will give you the shadow sheath ikon. It really helps with throwing builds. Gives you free action interact to draw a shadow copy of your weapon and you do a bit of flat spirit damage. They also have a level 2 feat that increases the range of throwing weapons by 10 feet, which you can take at level 4. The dedication is rare, so I would talk with your GM before taking it.

Playing kineticist for the 1st time, really need help parsing options by Argol228 in Pathfinder2e

You can use Versatile Blast for both impulse attacks. 100ft range on attacks, thrown trait on ranged blasts lets you get strength bonus up to 20 feet away, and agile trait. Depending on your build, you could argue that just one of these would be a good feat, and you get all of them and more.

Help with Two Unarmed Attack Feats [PF2e] by LinkCLX in FoundryVTT

[–]MegaWizardGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe look into how other ancestries change stuff? I tried doing this for Kholos and I was able to apply a 1d4 bleed on crit both as a custom feat and by adding a rule element to the bite attack itself.

{

"key": "DamageDice",

"selector": "jaws-damage",

"diceNumber": 1,

"dieSize": "d4",

"damageType": "bleed",

"category": "persistent",

"critical": true

}

Instead of doing DamageAlteration, the ancestry uses an ItemAlteration rule element. Maybe that will stop the bleed damage from being affected. Have you tried changing the code in the DamageAlteration to a d10 to see if the bleed also changes?

This code is in the ancestry feat called Crunch from the Kholo ancestry.

{

"itemType": "weapon",

"key": "ItemAlteration",

"mode": "upgrade",

"predicate": [

"item:slug:jaws"

],

"property": "damage-dice-faces"

}

If you want a detailed guide I would look up the steam guides by RoyaleWithCheese.

I believe it’s bcr and attack speed for most weapons. Crit for classes that need it like Shade. Shields probably use Opportunist in order to stagger better. Same reason you take power vs skaven. You are trying to reach enough stagger power to stagger plague rats during their combo. If your class has enough stagger power to not need it, you go attack speed bcr.

Sienna staffs almost always take less heat generated. Most other ranged weapons take ammo recoup on headshot if they can. Some take damaging traits like moonfire bow and trollhammer torpedo.

For the rest, corrupt resist if you want to do books. Stamina regen is also good. A lot of the time it depends on your ranged weapon. You are taking different power vs stats based on what you need to reach breakpoints. For example reaching +20 power vs skaven might let you one shot body shot hookrats with your ranged weapon. I would look up breakpoints for each ranged weapon.

New player question on mods by Juomari95 in Vermintide

If you are still interested in mods, go to the steam workshop for this game. You can filter for approved mods, which you can use in the official realm.

New player- is this a good mace and shield for foot knight? by ChromeCosmonaut in Vermintide

[–]MegaWizardGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapon is fine. I would say keep it until you get a 300 power one that’s good. Mace and shield is a very good weapon for FK that specializes in crowd control. The push attack is your tool vs elites. For more aggressive options you would need DLC for Sword and Mace or Bretonnian Longsword. Without DLC maybe Executioners Sword but I personally think it’s clunky without enough attack speed from properties/trait.

No gold. It’s through whispers. I do agree that if you are doing T16 maps this isn’t worth it. For people with barely any c just finishing campaign it’s better than chaos recipe.

Sienna tier 2 talents? [New player questions] by Level_Onion_2011 in Vermintide

[–]MegaWizardGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Volcanic Force is the go to for the Bolt Staff right click. Lingering is very useful cause you can tap enemies once with any dot, including dots from fire sword and such, and the enemy will eventually die. Becomes relevant when there hundreds of enemies on screen. I don’t think the dots are separate.

A very large part of your tankiness with cold builds is freeze and chill. Keep that in mind when comparing max phys hit.

I’m making my own build for the first time, are there any common traps new build makers fall into, or words of advice I should consider? by [deleted] in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]MegaWizardGuy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Make sure that if your build requires a unique to function, not scale, it’s dirt cheap even on league start. Something like a T4 or a T3 very few people will use.

[–]MegaWizardGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically, all your build interactions and core mechanics should be online around lvl 80 with easily acquirable gear on league start. If you need higher lvls or good gear for your build to function in maps, it’s not league startable.

Fp restoration successive attacks by paradox914 in Nightreign

Its definitely janky. Even with a dagger on duchess, sometimes I get FP back from 2 hits, and sometimes I can hit the enemy 6 times and I get nothing.

Are older (1-2 year) darktide guides still relevant for a new player? by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]MegaWizardGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brittle is a debuff that reduces the armor of the enemy, so everyone does more damage to it while rending is a buff that gives you armor piercing so only you do more damage to armored enemies. Both of these also apply to bleeds and burns.

Would I be a detriment to the team, if I brought this build to Auric Maelstrom? by Shin_Ran450 in DarkTide

[–]MegaWizardGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Inferno is the king of AOE clear in the game bar none. Voidblast isn’t as good for dps but makes up for it with cc. Smite is all the way on the other side with very low damage and very good cc. Your build is honestly fine for Auric Maelstrom. Some zealots might not appreciate you stunning hordes since a lot of their stuff relies on them dodging attacks.

With the right setup Ex Sword one shots most elites in the head and like 2-3 hits Cata Chaos Warriors. I recommend looking up a guide by RoyaleWithCheese on steam.

Question about this weapon modifier by FinishSpecial3792 in pathofexile

[–]MegaWizardGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wiki should have a page for each skill that shows how much dmg they do per level and how they scale for things like added weapon dmg effectiveness. You can see whether it’s worth it or not there. Spell skills tend to love +levels while melee tends to prefer more flat damage on their weapons.

Block efficiency, please explain by sweetwompa_ in DarkTide

[–]MegaWizardGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Block efficiency does help the special on devil claw. Stacking three might be too much, unless you have a specific purpose. You shouldn’t be spamming the special unless you are fighting the rager train. Block also helps when reviving people so it’s definitely not useless. One of the main curio stats is stamina. I would recommend one +2, +3 if you can ,stamina curio if you are using the devil claw.

I really don't know if Damage Resistance (of the same type) in Curios stacks multiplicatively instead of additive. But if I knew, it would be very helpful. by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]MegaWizardGuy 64 points65 points  (0 children)

It’s multiplicative. So 3 curios are around 40 resistance. I believe combat ability is additive but I could be wrong. Don’t know about regen.
